His experience shone through for us tonight, when he dropped back into midfield towards the end was pure genius.

He's a class act. Set up Rooney well for that half chance early on. Great finish for the goal

Imagine him getting to 35 by the end of the season, that'd be mind boggling.

Didn't realize the ball was at the back of the net until Zlatan started celebrating  Thought it had gone wide.

Hes a better DM than Fellaini.

But absolutely loved his goal. Was hoping he would lift it over the keeper like he did, and he did it even better than I thought.

Zlatan has winner stamped on his soul. There's nothing about him that suggests he accepts second best.

After a little blip he's emerging as the real leader in this team. Not just with the crucial goals but with the mindset to see things through.

God of Manchester? Maybe it's not as far fetched as I thought!

I can't believe the criticism Zlatan has got from some people on here this season. feck knows where we would be without him. Such a great player and hard to believe he's 35 tbh.

Great finish delighted we got him. If Martial, Rooney and Rashford can supplement him well then we'll be in a great position.

Nah absolutely nothing in that, just an example of a big guy vs a little guy and he's only trying to shrug him off. Be amazed if that even gets a second look.
Plus he was diving around all over the shop after every little touch. He even went down easy for Ibra goal when pogba turned him. He's such an Arsenal player

Very underrated finish, it was perfect.

The big bastard won be €50

14 goals in December and he's even had a dry spell.

Signing of the season so far without a doubt.

He's in such ridiculous shape for his age isn't he? a one of a kind, fantastic player. I actually think he might be even better next season because the entire team will be.

Still a bit crazy that he plays for us and is still this good at his age. Loved his post match interview with Pogba as well where he said he would keep Pogba's MOTM prize for himself

14 goals , despite us, playing really shit at times, in terms of creating clear cut chances. Him, Pogba, and Mhiki, seem to be th only ones who can make something happen for us, to win a match, the rest of the attacking players seem to just go through the motions

I had a rant a few game ago about him overplaying and it slowing our attacks down. Since then he's not done it at all and he looks so much better for it. Our interplay as a team looks so much better now.

Were you talking tome about that? It rings a bell.

Imagine now with Mikhi hitting form how much slicker and easier its going to be for him?

He's a fecking beast! To think people doubted him in the summer...

A fantastic finish today from a very tight angle. Needs to produce more moments of brilliance like that if we're to climb up the table. I often feel he plays to lackadaisical in build up play but tonight he was generally good in all aspects. Hopefully more to come!

Wonder if we could have got him instead of Falcao. Probably not, but still..
Absolutely not... Zlatan would never play for LVG again after their time at Ajax. And PSG had no reason to sell at that point.

Had we appointed Mourinho after SAF's retirement instead of Moyes though, I think there would have been a possibility.

Good finish tonight, won the game, scoring at a good rate.

Still not convinced, still don't want him here.

We are playing totally to his tune, we are 6th. Top 4 is a fantasy.

But Zlatan is knocking a few in, so that's great.

Build up play, yes I've seen some nice touches & cute little through balls - interesting that Pogba gave him one back for the goal, maybe they want to do more of that, are learning from the Big Swede re movement & pass, rather than recycling it out wide time after time. Z's build up play overall is nowt special, he'll go to the channel when it's definitely on to receive the ball. More usually he drops to the back post for the cross and/or to have a rest.

Oh well. I do see that he's got box office appeal if you like the guy (rules me out, obvs) & we are playing better than last year even if results are not all that much different.

Zlatan: "thanks for your guidance pocco."

Avg rating of 6 is really really harsh.

Pogba has a 6.1 who has clearly been better and a consistent performer for us. Zlatan also went through a phase where he missed sitters after sitters and his general allround contribution was poor. 6 is above average, I would probably give him close to 7 so far. But it isn't that harsh if you look at overall effectiveness and where the team is.

Aye, I was all grumpy cause I thought we were going to face another loss we shoulda won, then he scored and I didn't realise and I remained grumpy until I saw Zlatan celebrating and I instantly started fist pumping.

I feel like I'm falling for a troll attempt here but maybe the difference is because our top scorers last season Rooney is about as dangerous as a wet paper-towel now, Rashford hasn't scored in about 3 months and Martial has forgotten how to play football. Zlatan can't score all the goals himself, we need everyone to chip in.

Finally he scored a beautiful goal and won us a premier league game. Hopefully it would have gave him much needed confidence in front of the goal( IMO he lacked it in previous games). He was very poor in that spell against Burnley, Stoke, Liverpool where he missed sitters after sitters and cost us around 4-5 points. He was hitting just straight at GKs in those games. I thought he was not just super confident about finishing in those games. His all-round play was very good throughout the season but finishing was abysmal in last 1-2 months and strikers are judged by the goals they score but not by their overall play.
6 rating seems about okay for him considering he has been ranging from extremely poor to excellent so far.

Great all round game and what a finish. I wish he would make those runs into the channel more often, it's hard for defenders to track and with Pogba's passing he's always looking for those little slide balls.

His celebrations too show he still wants to win, he's not here for just the payday.

What you say about Rooney, Rashford & Martial is right, unfortunately.

So it ends up being Zlatan or nothing, which was the point I was trying to make. Zlatan is involved in it developing into that, style wise. Even his greatest fanboys haven't yet been saying he's a gloriously unselfish leader of the line plating up loads of golden chances for everyone else. Zlatan scoring or Zlatan missing is mainly what is happening, atm. I'm fingering Zlatan for possibly being involved in the development of this scenario.

However, if supplying Zlatan is just about all we can do with this squad we had best make the most of it I suppose.
