Arse have been after him for a while and have been doing the groundwork. Noone else in the Orem seems arsed. I think he's brilliant.
If it's us part one of our new midfield is complete.. Just need that creative wide player next.
Picked him as the player I'd like us to sign last summer instead of Sneijder. I've only seen him once or twice this season and he didn't play that well. He seemed to have bulked up too much in the gym and he struggled to recover once players had gone past him.

Wenger certainly isn't waiting around, that's for sure..especially after the nightmare debacle that was last summer. I'd still like to see us go for another centre half (Sakho would be a good option here after his falling out with Ancelotti) and with RVP hopefully signing a new contract, I'd be bloody chuffed. With the likes of J.Wilshere coming back, that should set us up nicely for next season.
Why would Rennes agree to this right now when its quite possible that his value could go up after the Euros.
Apparently 16-18m. Quite unlike of Wenger to spend that much on a single player if it's true. Last was about 15m on Arshavin i think, or was it Reyes that topped that?

If there is a good moment to sign it'll be before the Euro as his value isn't as high as last season( he hasn't performed as well as last season and understandably so)

Give them a better chance to find a replacement (if they haven't already and want to seal that deal before the euros) and also if we are prepared to get close to their valuation then it could back fire if he doesn't have a great Euros. A defensive midfielder's value is probably not likely to sky rocket after a good tournament

Padolski's a cnut. He has slapping Van Persie in the opening game of the season, alienating himself from the squad and making a dozen appearances and scoring a couple of goals written all over him.
