This was my second thought.
What a little cnut he is though, practically agrees everything with Spurs, even has a medical (which I believe costs money) and will obviously end up joining Chelsea if the rumours are true given the fact that they will pay him more.

Mata, Hazard and Oscar seemed to cope fine with loads of games. If they don't sign a striker this signing will make little difference. Agreed it will improve their squad overall though. But seems strange to spend £30 million on a squad player...
Roy Keane had agreed to join Blackburn before Sir Alex convinced him to sign for us, granted he didn't have a medical, but they only get one career and if Willian feels a move to Chelsea is better for him then I don't see what the problem is. It's not his fault Chelsea waited until the last minute before coming in for him.
Odd move for Willian to make if i'm honest. He's basically going for the money as he'll struggle to break through into Chelseas first team while at Spurs he'd be a first team player. Reminds me of the Thiago deal, greedy player joining a team for the wrong reasons.

Under normal conditions, a player might chose Spurs over Chelsea seeing the other attacking options they have, but knowing how difficult Levy makes for the players to leave when they want to make the step up to a bigger club, he might prefer Chelsea. And Mata for Rooney swap deal is on if this happens.

Well he's being consistent at least, he was at Shakhtar and then went to Anzhi even though Spurs and Chelsea were interested in him then. You can't really say the same for Thiago though.
We don't need Willian, nor do Chelsea.
Him going to Chelsea has no effect on us for me, if it means less games for Mata/Hazard/Oscar and Mourinho fails to keep those 3 happy then that's fine by me.
