I think De Bruyne is the one who could play as a CM, but he's done his best work as a forward player so it would be a bit of an experiment developing him there. But he's much, much more likely than the rest. Really I agree that someone has to be leaving and Moses doesnt fit the bill because he's a squad player. He's the only one who might be okay hardly getting many games in a title winning season, if Chelsea even manage it. None of the rest are going to be okay with that, not with an international tournament coming up and them needing to secure their place. I think Mata is leaving, either straight sold to someone or part of the Rooney deal. Its the only thing that really makes sense unless Oscar has got homesick or something

All those attacking midfielders doesn't make up for their lack of a top quality centre forward though. I don't think Willian coming in changes whether or not Chelsea want Rooney. I don't think they'll get Rooney though.

Yeah, that is a pretty sick number of options. With formation changes and certain players being able to play in different positions, Chelsea have more than good enough cover in AM or on the wings.
A Rooney for Mata switch would really benefit both clubs. Chelsea would still benefit a bit more though, seeing as Rooney is precisely what they need..
Strikes me as a bit SWP like, buying a player so that nobody else gets them. How can they possibly balance Oscar, Willian, Mata, Hazard, Schurrle and De Bruyne? Even assuming Moses is moved on.
I wonder if Kia Joorabchain ever had any real intention of letting Willian move to Liverpool or Spurs.
