What will it take to sack moyes?

Bring Fergie back from retirement until the end of the season and then hire somebody competent in the summer.

This is a fecking disgrace, as Drogba would say. Can't believe how bad this United team has become in a matter of a few months. Feel bad for Moyes, but he's clearly in over his head and the players feel it, too. He completely destroyed their confidence and has no clue how to turn things around. It's one thing to give a man time to implement his ideas, but based on what I've seen so far he can't manage at that level.

Get rid.

No you're right, it is far more logical to complain on the internet that the people who spend a ridiculous amount of money going to games aren't doing it right.
Nah, all im saying it dont use a shitty attitude when trying to have a discussion on here. Would it have hurt to say 'Mate, those fans pay tons of money for their tickets and they have the right to do whatever.' or did you prefer to be a bitch about it?

Good good. No qualms with people who actually do it rather than demand everyone else does for them.

Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, I'm not agitating at the moment. There is discontent already. Unfortunately I'm not local, so I can't get into the home games, just some of the away games in Europe (which may very well be lacking next year).

My point is that this would drive the pressure.

But that's not the "United Way." Moyes should be given time, infinite time, because we're so much better and morally superior to other clubs. We cannot judge him, it's too early. The squad that won the Premier League by 11 points last season is not good enough, Moyes should be given as much money as he wants to spend. We cannot judge the 65 million he's already spent, it's too early. Moyes will come good because we are better than any other club. Ferguson chose Moyes, this means he is the correct man for the job. Blind faith is a stellar defence of Moyes, no evidence of taking the club forward or being competitive is necessary because Manchester United are never wrong.

What's with the meltdown on here again tonight? Who honestly thought we were going to get anything out of this game? We've been concentrating on Europe all year, we rested our star midfielder tonight and we don't really care about the league. That record is ours now. It's all about adding more CLs to the trophy cabinet. C'mon lads quit the melt down, this only the PL, a Mickey Mouse competition between two petro clubs and a bunch of delusional scousers

Who's our star midfielder?

I honestly think if Moyes had any respect left for the club at all he'd just voluntarily resign. He is absolutely destroying us.

The freaking matchgoers should start and turn on him. How they haven't yet is beyond me.

They get a warm and fuzzy feeling from reading the praise Mata gives to them in his weekly blog so it's hard for them to risk that.

If we were sitting happily in the top four, everyone would be giving the credit to Moyes. But we're not, so why - in some people's eyes - is it the fault of the players? Why do managers ever get sacked if poor performances are down to players not giving their all?

The majority of the caf probably thought we'd lose but the majority of the caf also thinks Moyes should be sacked. The board don't think this yet, so it's not unreasonable to suggest this result might have pushed them over the edge. Except it's really clear it won't.

The liverpool match was worse and if that didn't do the trick after the inept Olympiakos performance, then I highly doubt there was any chance that he would be sacked today.

Having said that, the bad results are building up.

Cant believe Moyes has so many apologists in the media. He can do no wrong and its all down to a poor squad is the constant theme.

I cant believe how the MUTV commentators were so quick to backstab the same players who brought the club so much success. FFS those people are their
colleagues. Many of the critics were ex players themselves while at least one of the presenters is married to a player. Why turning so much against them what was the single catalyst that changed this squad from champion to horrible?

Oh please, don't tell match going fans how to support the club. Wanting our fans to turn on our manager, that is just pathetic.

No one is telling match going fans what to do.

However you do notice that booing the manager would probably mean that he'll feck off earlier?

what is millions down the drain in reference to?
Fellaini, money gone down the drain. If we want to discuss Mata, it might as well be money down the drain, Moyes has shown little to no idea about how to best utilise him. We'll see the best of Mata under a different manager. We'll spend more in the summer, but I don't see that improving us massively, not when we've a manager who fails tactically at this level.

That coupled with the fact we will miss out on Champions League money.

There's also a possibility that ticket sales may take some sort of hit.

Commercialization could also take a dive.

What do you mean by turn on him? Not renewing season tickets will probably have a bigger effect than booing Moyes.

If we offered Moyes back to Everton would they take him? No, they have a better manager now. That by itself should tell you he doesn't belong here and needs to go.

They are backing the club and showing their support to the club which in the face of our form has to be admired. I get slightly worried when people on this forum actually want our own fans to turn on our manager. There is a big difference between genuine critiscm and stating things which we laugh at other clubs at.

yeah, so my point is, if moyes leaves do all these players go free? are you saying its impossible for the next manager to get the best out of mata just because he's come in contact with moyes? moyes spends money better than most managers, don't know where this nonsense about him throwing money comes from, just throwing toys out of the pram around here as usual. ours teams struggling to create chances so suddenly moyes cn't tie his shoelaces

It's just sth I've been wondering about. I'm waiting for it to happen eventually and I think it will. Interesting to see how patient they are so far.

I added more to my point.

If you think we can get £27 million back for Fellaini you're dreaming. That's a hit financially for the Glazer's, simple fact.

Oh well, it all depend of culture and opinions. In my side of world there is a clear distinction between the manager and the club. The fans are ready to kill (literally) for the club but would easily turn against the manager if they feel that he's a cancer for the club.

As I said I wont dare asking anybody to do something that he doesn't want to do. However as I said. Managers come and go. We support the club and not the manager.

I agree. And I admire the patience the matchgoers show. They should realise that being vocal about Moyes could probably be more of a benefit for the club then putting a banner up for him though
