I wanted to go to bloc party but I’m running a half marathon in Clontarf early Saturday so I couldnt make it work

enjoy 3 shows in 3 days

Just seen the Stones last night. Took my 23 and 26 year olds to it and they were blown away by the energy Jagger still has.

I'm seeing them in Chicago in July. Don't mind them but going more for my friend. Paid stupid money for the tickets so I hope it's a good show

Ive seen every tour since 1980 82? Anyway this tour is ridiculous as in that good.

Went to the Tool gig in Birmingham on Thursday. Just utterly unbelievable. Completely lived up to expectations (and they were HIGH) and then some. The whole thing was just perfect. It's a seated gig, but everyone ends up standing anyway. Wife pulled a blinder and got us brilliant seats/places, so we got a superb view of the band and hit the sweet spot in terms of getting great sound, too. The music is something else. Danny Carey on the drums is just a monster. I'm convinced he's sold his soul for his drumming skills. He's just something else. The visuals and light show were both brilliant, too.

Only criticism I have is that it had to end. It's one of those gigs where I could have easily watched them play again straight afterwards. Pneuma live is earth-shatteringly good. In fact, I have to say that all the tracks off Fear Innoculum just hit so much harder live. They're great anyway, but even better live. Descending was brilliant, but Invincible is another level on top of that, imo.

Rosetta Stoned. Hnngnggg. And Jambi as the opener. Holy shit.

11/10 gig. I think that's the best gig I've been to. Wife had a brilliant time, too. Her only downside is that she was desperate for them to play Schism or Forty Six & 2, but ultimately you can't have it all. They could quite easily play another completely different setlist and it would be equally as great. Such a great band.

Will 100% be going to see them again.

Going to TTF the night in the hydro, Snap, JX, Corona, Wingfield, Ultrabeat, Love Inc and 2Unlimited supporting, basically a big 90s night, going to be dynamite

Massive Attack was on Wednesday. They were incredible. Elizabeth Fraser was with them and it was glorious. There was a portion with Young Fathers that was weakish, but the last 50 minutes was aces. Safe From Harm live is so feckin' good.

Tonight's the night for james in Cardiff. Looks like they will be playing their new album predominantly but there should be some good older stuff as well.

Just found out unfortunately that Pink is also playing the stadium so the trains will be carnage.

Taylor (and Paramore) on Saturday

Greenday on the Friday after and assuming tickets haven't been resold then Rammstein on the Sunday.

The two opposites of my music taste.

I went to see My Chemical Romance at the cricket ground the same night Ed Sheeran was in the stadium and it was absolute bedlam getting out of the city.

Was rammed but got home ok.

The actual concert was mind blowing. Absolutely off the scale. Tim Booth was pitch perfect all night as were the band.

There was one amazing gfx effect on the screens during Mobile God that I won't spoil just in case anyone sees it live.

The sound was perfect and they played Tomorrow which I was desperate to hear live. In my top 3 gigs this one.

Took my Girlfriend to watch Taylor Swift on Sunday in Edinburgh.

Not my usual cup of tea, but came out impressed and enjoyed myself a set of 3 hours and 30 minutes is some going.

The Killers in Manchester next week and Waxahatchee in July… with a plenty of acts at Glastonbury in between.

Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer on Monday. Brilliant gig, both bands were really on form and played hit-filled setlists. On now to Limp Bizkit and Tom Morello today.
Glad to hear smashing pumpkins were good. Seeing them in Croatia in a week or so.

I went to see them in London last week. Christ, it was so fecking good. Weezer were awesome, but I was really there for the Pumpkins, who didn't disappoint. The Everlasting Gaze as an intro is phenomenal. It was just amazing. One of those gigs I wish I could just immediately relive again straight after finishing.

Saw Tool the week before, so I'm on an insane run right now. Seen both of my favourite drummers in the same week period....hnnngggg.

I love the Pumpkins. Saw them at Glastonbury in 2013, but only Billy remained from the original lineup. It just hits so much harder with both James and Jimmy there. HUGE difference to when I last saw them. No comparison.

Saw Chelsea Wolfe today (and Kaelan Mikla for the first time, they were good) and she was feckin' phenomenal. I love the new album and she played the whole thing which was glourious. Beautiful music. She also did The Culling which she didn't do the last time I saw her, and it's one of my favorite of hers. Carrion Flowers was the icing on the cake, live music doesn't get heavier than that, so feckin' good. Her music lifts to another level with the live instrumentation. She's also got this beautiful, haunting voice which is showcased throughout, not least in acoustic songs like I'm Deragned for Rock'n'Roll. One of the gigs of the year for sure. On to Tool next Tuesday.

This tour really is the one to see them. So good!

Tool yesterday. Great show again, even if it was more special last time around. Better setlist this time, though. Pneuma is an all-timer, especially live. The build up towards the end, then the guitar riff and drums coming in over - insanely good. Solid 8/10 for this gig.

Just tried to buy tickets to see Chappell Roan in September in London for my teenage daughter's birthday, but they're all sold out and on resale sites for 400 quid a pop. I can't believe it, I hadn't heard of her before last week!

Saw Greenday at OT cricket ground at the weekend with Nothing But Thieves supporting.

I like NBT but Greenday are something else. I've seen them four times now and every time they're wonderful. Simple and effective crowd interaction, simple songs that you bop along too and it just works. They know how to put on a show and they look like they love it every time which rubs off on you.

Got RockPrest this weekend, a tribute festival - https://rockprest.com/

Went to see to Rabbit in the Moon & Crystal Method in Chicago a few weekends back. Flew into Chicago Saturday afternoon, swung by Alinea to consume the vegetarian tasting menu paired wonderfully with one amazing mocktail after another, then went to the Concord around 1030P to CM taking stage.

Both RITM & CM read the room brilliantly, a few of their recent works gave way to hours of nostalgia playing all their hits from the mid 90s. Bunny had his orbital sander to the face move in full effect, a bunch of OG Hardkiss Brothers tracks were dropped by Rabbit to a crowd who appreciated the hell out of them. The crowd was 80% old farts from the 90s. but it was quite cool seeing the younger attendees jamming out to music that was made over a decade before they were even born. Went to someone's loft nearby to smoke a bowl or two, then got a lyft to O'Hara to catch my 900A flight home.

In Chicago for all of 22 hours, no luggage, no hotel, no nothing. It was the perfect bookend for me, it was a great way to end my club kid career that started 34 years ago. Just wish I had my old crew there with me to reminisce all together.

I saw Cocteau Twins twice back in my youth. Fraser is from another planet, a twilight shimmering planet where everything is beautiful and nothing hurts. Really felt like I was watching an alien creature when she sang, just fecking incredible.

Lucky you. Sorry your daughter is missing out but you really dodged a bullet on this one.

Saw The Raveonettes a couple weeks back. Feels like they haven’t played here in years. Last saw them maybe 15 years ago. They were excellent. Never much in terms of stage show or audience interaction (they seem shy on stage) but the songs and set list overall were fecking great.

She's not that bad. She can really sing.

It's probably double that in the US.

I can only imagine given how good she still is. Too bad Cocteau Twins disbanded so early, would have loved to see them.

Seeing Bowling for Soup in 6 minutes

Pretty pumped about that. Their Hangover You Don’t Deserve album was massive when I was in high school.

Which band members make up Massive Attack these days? Did they go nostalgic with tracks from Blue Lines & Protection?

Just found out they will be in Miami in October, their first US show in five years.

I guess it is Robert Del Naja and Grant Marshall, but they have a lot of touring band members. They played a few tracks from Blue Lines and I think one from Protection and then a bunch from Mezzanine.
