He has 100% done it this way because he’s skint and there is no way anyone else can pay for him to have a big ceremony anymore with so much scrutiny on who is paying for it and what they are getting in return. Quick cheap wedding and the PR train to paint it as something you’d expect from a man of the people like him.

You could just be happy that doing it this way minimises the exposure and media around it. No one will be talking about it on Tuesday.

I wonder if the application went in the day Cummings started giving evidence… knocked him off the front of the Sunday papers!

Apparently Boris Johnson did not know where the finance had come from for his flat refurbishment, so he HAS broken the ministerial code because he said in HoC he covered the cost! Why am I surprised he has gotten away with it?

Boris could break the code every day and twice on Sundays and still he wouldnt be held to account.

This once great country (GB) is now a cesspit of deceit, corruption and moral decay.

Is it any wonder the Scots (and likely Welsh ) would rather take a chance and go it alone than be party to the corrupt politics of a party whose only goal is to fulfill their members own self serving needs rather than the populace?
 
To be fair nurses, hungry kids or other disadvantaged are hardly some of their own from a tory perspective !? If I've learned anything over these past couple of years it's that Boris and his pals truly do take care of their own. There's just fewer of those than his voters like to think there is.

Shoutout to the guy standing behind the presenter on BBC Politics Live at the G7 summit this morning holding a sign saying 'JIMMY SAVILLE'.
 
Cummings didn't bother handing in the evidence in time :rolleyes: so either there wasn't any to begin with, he's been paid off, or he's waiting for Hancock to speak and post it on twitter if Hancock lies.

He definitely has a bicycle. We saw him out on it during the lock down when he went to a "local" park.

That was my initial view.
Wait for Hancock to commit and then stick the knife in when he presents his evidence.
Not a fan of Cummings but I am even less of a fan of Hancock. Loves taking all the credit for everyone in the NHS hard work.

It's a custom built bike with an electronic/wireless drivetrain, hand built wheels, and custom paint. One of their standard frames is about $3k for a steel frame. I hope Boris does give it a ride without paying attention to the brakes too much (they're set up like everyone else in the world but the reverse of most in the UK).

Custom bikes are extremely expensive.
