We are bottlers

It starts with Ole. He has lowered the expectations so much that mediocre performances and scraping through are seen as achievements.

It's not a personnel issue. The mentality and the ability to take pressure of this club and its players is absolutely garbage. It's why we don't capitalize on moments to secure CL progress, we get dumped out of cups, we succumb to shit teams when we have a chance of title race. I am not sure where the blame lies.

I strongly disagree. This performance is exactly what I expected when I saw a line up without Shaw, Fernandes and Rashford and with Van de Beek and Matic. We only play well when those three players play well.

Rashford's form has been crap for a while and at any rate he's injured, but why on earth Ole felt it was a good idea to rest players for this game is beyond me.

Leicester have a superior coach. They have a clear ethos and identity when they take to the pitch.

I am not referring to just this game man.

Dumped out of cups? A win today would have seen us in 5 semi finals in 12 months.
Utter nonsense.

I knew from the gutless 0-0 draw with West Ham at home last season that this is the case. We were lucky not to be punished for it because Leicester were awful in that last game of the season, but ultimately despite all the guffs about ‘improved mentality’ and ‘togetherness of the squad’, this team is still a massive bunch of bottlers who can’t handle the slightest bit of real pressure.

No team has a squad that can compete in all competitions except City.

This Leicester team went out early in the EL. We are still in it. We've now had to play 3 days later, when they've had a week's rest.

I hate to say it but I think we have to prioritise what cups we want to really play for, like Liverpool did to win the CL then the Prem.

Maybe it helps to have a manager with the experience of winning a proper trophy at the helm?

It wont change much in the next transfer window either as we're practically skint.

I am not referring to just this game man.

And neither am I. We're out of the Champions League because of a game when our reserves shit the bed, we're going out of the FA Cup because we rested players.

Our first choice 11 with all players in form is good enough, with some holes, the second we have to rely on any of our supposed depth in anway we're awful.

We won cup competitions under van Gaal and Mourinho, maybe it's a manager problem...

When your manager comes out in a press conference and says winning cups is just, well, a d*ck measuring contest between managers, you know something is wrong.

Our form when the tough gets going in cup competitions is absolutely pitiful and it has transferred into the players.

It's not mentality. We just can't pass the ball. It's evident every single game. So it shouldn't be a big shock when we lose to a decent team.

We lose an awful lot of games when something is on the line. Leipzig and Leicester this season. Sevilla and Chelsea last season amongst others. It’s a huge black mark on any progress we’ve made. Leicester in the final league game last season seems to be an outlier.

Leicester are a good team. We just played away in Europe on Thursday and didn't exactly have our first XI out there.

Let's wait and see how we do in the Europa League eh? We are 2nd, have looked dead on our feet with many injuries and way too many games recently. We had to rest some players today. They have injuries but were fresh all week with no mid week game.

Never expected us to get through this tie, as Leicester is a good team, at home, but also fresh for it. The timing of the game was wrong for us and it showed.

We certainly need an improvement interms of management and coaching. The players still look and play like strangers from time to time. There's a clear lack of cohesion.
But you much also acknowledge that United are practically skint for the time being.

Oh yeah of course. It’s McKenna’s fault Fred gave the ball away to Iheanacho, and Carrick’s fault for Matic having no legs anymore .

No, its their fault we're so incompetent in every aspect. Its their fault we play the same exact way in every game. Its their fault we look so disinterested. Its their fault we always start off so slow.

They aren't good. Theres a reason why van Gaal and Jose at their absolute worst managed to win trophies because thats what great managers can do. They know how to. This current lot are absolutely fecking clueless.

Beat top of the league on a record winning run. Go away to AC needing a goal to qualify. Then lose in a cup with a depleted side playing horrendous football. Cue the irritatingly predictable 'mentality' thread.

I knew the moment Leicester went out in the EL that this wouldn’t be an easy game. This assumption was confirmed when we got Milan in the EL. Playing a well rested Leicester (who are a good team btw) away 2 days after coming back from a difficult game in Milan was hardly ever going to work.

Ole selected the wrong team 100%.. but he cannot control how bad some of these guys were individually.. except maybe martial who he shouldn't even be putting on the bench at this point.. fred has qualties but is such a limited player.. he was terrible today. Matic is way past it.

That's what happens when you appoint an ex player as your manager who buys shit mid-table quality like Maguire & AWB for record fees. Did you expect that to turn us to winners really?

Absolutely this. Any time anyone argues we're not bottlers, they use the Leicester game last year as proof. 1 in their favour. 4 semi finals and Leipzig and today against them.

Even today, we find out it's Saints in the semi. A legit chance to win a semi against a team we.are categorically better than. Not like City or Chelsea where it could go either way. So what do we do? Bottle the quarter final against a decent team instead.

It was a crappy team selection and some poor individual performances that let us down today. And Leicester clearly aren’t a shit team.
What alternative team selection would you make? Considering our starting 11 are shattered having played 2 games a week minimum for months.

The fans also have a mentality problem with what's being defined as progress these days. Three years with no silverware and some are jumping like monkeys

Massive massive mentality problem.

We just don't believe we can win anything.

Leicester are a good team. We just played away in Europe on Thursday and didn't exactly have our first XI out there.
Shit like this annoys me. Nothing to do with fatigue when nobody can pass a ball 5 yards

Ah yes the Redcafe condescension. Love it.

Remind me again how we are in the Europa league in the first place after getting a commanding position in the group stages. Remind me again of points we dropped this season unnecessarily to end up 11 pts behind city. The Carabao cup exit. At what point do we acknowledge that at key moments we are lacking.

Mentality is the word here

Ole should be prioritising every game,

The buck starts at the top and if the manager does not have the hunger or desire, nor will the players
