We are an awfully coached team

I just don't understand why we always look a bit clueless when they're outside the box. Just passing it around with no plan to get inside or and good 1-2s. Everyone just stands still. I know it's easier said than done.

Seriously we just wait for Pogba or Bruno to do something crazy upfront . We haven’t created one chance in the second half apart from the gift by West Ham

Does Moyes deserve another shot at the United job? Knows the club (now), will be here long term and there's no way anyone fires Phelan twice

Thought Varane's signing will spell the end of two holding midfielders. Terrible.

The players don't know how to hold the ball because the coaching is rubbish. It's definitely not lack of talents.

We should have gone for a RB.

Dalot needs to start.

It is so easy to defend against on the right wing because AWB won't take his man on, isn't good on the ball and can't whip a decent cross in. It impedes us incredibly.

Another Coach would not have kept Lingard and we would have lost today.

Trust in Ole

Can't keep the ball for 2 mins to see out a game...

Still won though, but we never do it the easy way!

Did well today. Trusted his instinct with McFred and made the right subs as well.

The stats don't lie either:

- 10 shots on goal vs 3 for West Ham.
- 65% possession.
- Should have had at least 1 penalty.
- Several clumsy mistakes made under no pressure lead to most of West Ham's chances(i.e that's on the players)

We are still not convincing, keep on making simple mistakes and don't really create many chances.

His instinct? He always plays them, and today was not better than in the past

Rival fans and some pundits say we are a poor side with players that can produce moments of brilliance to get us through games, and we really do make it hard to argue against that.

Dominated that game. Should have scored 3 or 4.
Team is coming together nicely. You can see why we are so difficult to beat away from home

We looked more in control in midfield today than in most other games. Most of our sloppiness actually came from our defenders(Maguire in particular) today. It was a very well-deserved win.

West Ham away is not a walk-over either.

there was a stat in the first half that we had created/had the most shots on target of any premier league club in history which I thought was interesting.

I like a manager who is involved in the match.
I respect the fact that you like it, but that’s it.

It isn’t correlation between crazy managers during games and results. Continue to believe in myths if it makes your life happy

Have to agree today. While Moyes got is spot in the first half, we were also set very well. The 2nd half was slow and the subs were inspired and courageous. Credit where credit is due. The good result is more connected to Westham bottling in the end though, but today the performance was mostly fine.

So many tantrums having to be bottled up until the next time we drop a point.

What was the stat ? Like all time since 1992?
Im not sure he's right there. It was the most shots on target for a team in the first half this season. Still impressive though.

im sure it was broader than that @ivaldo but I may not have it totally accurate, it was said on sky at about 41 mins from memory.

Either way the point is we do create chances

People saying we can't control a game, explain the possession stats today, explain the territory stats, explain the amount of shots we had.
I just don't get it, by any metric we dominated that game today, and controlled the game.
We seem to be doing quite well for a poorly coached team.

I was watching on Sky and didn't hear it, though I might've missed it.

Absolutely. But I feel some people will judge us on the last 20 minutes, as opposed to the game as a whole.

WH is tricky but we were again so slow and predictable

I guess West Ham could see our patterns of play.

Still, we should have scored 1 or 2 more goals, easily. And that's not even including the 1-2 penalties we were robbed of.

People just talk nonsense when it comes to us, they have a unrealistic view of football, where total domination and anything else is not good enough. Like a computer game, we better players means should be absolutely cruising matches, and it's just individual brilliance winning games, and Ole fault when we lose or drop points, not the individual mistakes causing us to concede, the team is basically just a rudderless ship just cruising the sea with no captain leading it. Miracle we are we are to be honest with Ole and the shite show coaching going on behind the scenes

It is laughable, but fair to say we are getting caught in the break quite often. Hopefully something we can sort, via personell or improvement

It's always going to be a thing to some extent though, you would have thought. It's pretty hard to ask a side to push right up which was part of the rationale for signing Varane, control the match high up the pitch without there being some sketchy moments.

Even Man City are their best, this is a way in which we have exploited them with our pace and power. Teams are going to use that against us, most sides have a danger, Newcastle had Saint Maximin and West Ham had 2 or 3.

We can control it better, react better, maybe the personnel in midfield is a little short but there's probably always going to be counters available to some extent, we just have to hope we create enough to justify it.

Yeah I agree with that.

We seemed to often give West Ham too much space especially at the edge of the box, and they did seem to break the lines a little easy at times.

We're definitely a Ferrari being driven like a horse and carriage. But we just have such a damn good team and so much individual talent in attack that this team might well take Ole and his coaches along for the PL title ride. Still feels like last season (individual moments, more dangerous on the break then when dominating possession etc) but when you look at the team you just can't imagine it failing in games like this.

We 100% have the best team and squad in the PL.

The brilliant coach and tactician Lars Lagerback was in the Swedish studio. He said that United relies very much on individual brilliance. But what does he know?
