Wayne Rooney rejoins Everton | United save £30M by giving him £10M pay-off

It's similar to his debut goal vs Arsenal so I referenced that quote, only in the form of a question (is. anyone remember this guy?), after all the stick we've given him over the past couple of years.

We could have him for £20m...

If he keeps on playing at this level and improving, then we should definitely be in for him.

He would improve us a lot. He's too good for Everton. At this rate, he has the potential to be world class.

I really mean every word.

Look how much space their CB's have given him there  Wayne's legs might have gone but he can still strike a ball.

He won't be getting that space in the league though.

So glad I don't have to watch him score and immediately go "oh no, he's not gonna get dropped for another 10 games now".

It was the question mark that threw me because it is what the commentator said, so it seemed like you was questioning why the commentator said it.

Scored a better one last season away in Europe and it still meant feck all going forward.

Nice goal all the same.

I just rewatched with the sound on, I didn't realise the commentator had said it too. This all makes sense now!

Happy for him, hope he scores many important goals for everton and dumps liverpool in the merseyside derby with their new players.

Still so bitter even now he's not our player!

People are just pleased for him. I think it shows most people's dislike comes from an emotional and personal place, ultimately making it all the more ridiculous.

Rooney has been shit for 3 years, not 3 months.

We gave him much more time and leniency compared to every other united player along with the captaincy and the star wages.

It's not that he been shit for 6 mths and ridiculed. 3 years is a long time in football.

And this is the club that fecks off its star player for much less (beckham, keane, rvp, rvn, berbatov)

In my opinion that's neither true nor well reasoned.

As always it's pointless having this conversation... aside from the fact that you've entirely missed my point in order to rant what's basically nonsense.

I have a feeling he may do better than many expect at Everton. Emotions play a part in performance, and like all of us, he's not immune to those. He'll have been well aware of his own decline and how he's portrayed in the media. The pressure's been lifted, in a way.

And of course, he's always been a Toffee at heart.
