How did he play besides the goal?
So glad I don't have to watch him score and immediately go "oh no, he's not gonna get dropped for another 10 games now".
Hope we sorted a buy back clause?
There's only one of us getting our knickers in a twist and isn't me.Still so bitter even now he's not our player!
People are just pleased for him. I think it shows most people's dislike comes from an emotional and personal place, ultimately making it all the more ridiculous.
I have a feeling he may do better than many expect at Everton. Emotions play a part in performance, and like all of us, he's not immune to those. He'll have been well aware of his own decline and how he's portrayed in the media. The pressure's been lifted, in a way.
And of course, he's always been a Toffee at heart.

Don't even joke. After waiting 13 years for him to bugger off I'm going on record to say if that happens I'll throw him off the Humber bridge myself.Hope we sorted a buy back clause?

Appreciated his contributions but disliked him as a person since he was at Everton the first time. You wanted him to leave the entire time? Even when he was excellent?

I really can't stand the man, he just represents everything I don't like in people. He's dishonest, gormless, Undisciplined, arrogant cocky, a bit thick and has this unshakable belief that many footballers have that they can do whatever the feck they like. Still, when people are treated like gods from a young age for having well coordinated feet what should I expect? You wanted him out since 2004?
Jesus you must really dislike him, he shag you granny or something?
I think the bye bye clause was enough.
He's been trying to score that goal for about 3 seasons at Man Utd.

I do expect him to do quite well for the first couple of months.I have a feeling he may do better than many expect at Everton. Wayne Rooney shouldn't be allowed to play against Manchester United.
Loaned players can't play against their parent club, because their parent club is still paying their wages. In Rooney's case, we're paying half his wages. I wouldn't be surprised if the FA stepped in at some point.
Guaranteed to score against us, then.He won't be on our payroll. We will pay it up front of pay a fee in the future as a clause.
Think this is a tad cheeky.

Rooney has a pop
Wayne Rooney gets the dagger out for Ed Woodward and a few others. The points are pretty valid but there’s a time and a place, and a type of person that should and shouldn’t say these sort of things.
“There are standards that you have to keep when you are at Manchester United.
“That came from the manager Sir Alex Ferguson when I went to United and it was then passed down through the dressing room by the likes of Giggsy, Gary Neville and Scholesy.
“Over the last few years, it was down to me and Michael Carrick to keep the new players maintaining those standards.
“That became more difficult over the last few years, with some of the players who joined the club. There are traditions at United that have to be maintained. It’s become harder, but that’s not my problem any more. I’m just ecstatic to be back at Everton.”
Wonder where those standards were when Rooney couldn't even control a Football properly these past 2 years.Think this is a tad cheeky.
