Walcott Next Out The Door?

He doesnt want to be a winger, he wants to be a striker and no top club, including us, is going to give him that. He'll go to a Spurs or Everton to play as a striker or take the money to be a rotated/backup winger at City or Chelsea. Maybe Liverpool up front with Suarez is an option? I dont know.

I think Liverpool is exactly where he will end up.

given the amount of shit young gets (form me as well)...can you imagine what Walcott woud get from the supporters?

He'd be more hated than young and berbatov combined.

not sure why fergie keeps wanting to buy players that bring out the worst in supporters...berbatov, young, next possibly Walcott.

I'm not too sure about that. Importantly he's improved his crossing and I think he's become a decent option on the wing. The most important part is he wants assurances that he'll be played as a striker and if he cant even play there for Arsenal he'd have no chance at a better club. And if he's going to play as a winger he'd stay at Arsenal. So I cant imagine a reality where he'd come to us and play on the wing.

If he was happy to play on the wing, and it came to the summer on a free..would you consider it?

Walcott is dire, he has his moments of magic sure but he is literally a kick and run player, can only play on the right wing, he isnt a natural striker and would never get in the team ahead of RVP, Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck.

Its a no go this story, just press hash up.

Would it be so bad to have Young on one wing and Walcott on the right?

Far better options that would cost money but of course if he was happy to be a winger and free he'd be a good signing. But neither of those things are actually going to happen.

He wants to play as a striker thats why he wants to leave Arsenal and someone will take a punt on him playing there.

Walcott is a good player, but I don't see where he fits into our system - especially considering he wants assurances about playing up front.

We need an upgrade from Young, such as a happy and in form Nani, not a downgrade from Young, such as Walcott.

While Walcott would be a decent option coming off the bench, what would be the point of it if we already have Young?

His best position is on the bench, coming on late in the game to blaze past tired defenders.

Just seeing some want him as a replacement for Nani. The mind boggles.

No thanks. Nani has a lot more to his game than Theo, and we've already got Chico to come off the bench and do that job.

Sooner take the chance on Zaha.

Depends what they want for him. Would cost more than Walcott for sure, although his wages would be less.

Big step up from the Championship to the PL but he seems to have potential from the games I've seen of him.

Personally I think Walcott's alright and I'd take him on a free or for a decent fee, no bother. Has untapped potential.

Not that many I woudln't think - but Nani will be off regardless as he seems to think he's worth a huge payrise.

I was under the impression Zaha would go for under 10 million...someone has just said Palace want 18. At that price I agree it's quite the gamble.

He'll always be one of those players that never fulfils the expectations the media have of him. He's pretty bloody average in my opinion and certainly not consistant by any means...

I think I agree with that purely based on the fact that I haven't seen enough of Zaha to rule out him ever being good enough to be one of the first names on our team sheet.

I think he's a good player.

At 23 if he goes to another club and starts up top every match then, given time, he'll become a quality player. We clearly don't need him though. Liverpool do.

I guess it's unpopular to like Walcott, and think he's decent. Not the world better he was made out to be after his England hat trick, but a good young player with lots of potential?

I don't see much potential though. I think he's fast with a decent finish on him 1v1. I don't really see what business he has in a top 4 club, pace aside

He's also 1 awkward fall away from dislocating his shoulder and being out for 3 months

He's shit and wouldn't be worth the free transfer. Unless the Glazers have figured out a way of making big money hiring him out as a Lewis Hamilton impersonator.

I'll share this with you. For a couple of years it has been a cycle for me of my mates I play footy with saying 'he's great he's great' and me being skeptical.

Sitting down with them in blocks of 3 or 4 games at a time throughout I've gotten increasingly frustrated and then cracked the shits at them 'HE'S SHIT... CHRIST, ENOUGH..' Only for him to then turn around and do something special and make them go 'SEE, SEE' and me go.. 'well fair play.'

I still maintain he's easily the most frustrating player I've seen.
