Walcott Next Out The Door?

Theo looks more Clinical from those stats (Nani can be wasteful) but Nani does offer more to the team

Walcott is a striker, Nani a winger.

Personally I thkink he would be ideal for Chelsea given their lack of striking options.

He's not a centre forward though, despite what Walcott says. He's a wide forward and Chelsea have plenty of those.

Obviously he'd fit in perfectly at Liverpool but I just wonder why he'd want to go there. It'd be funny if he went to Spurs.

To be fair he has never been given an extended chance to prove or disprove he can be a centre forward, and he cannt be any worse than el ladyboy.

Decent player and will probably do a better job than Nani.

What is worrying half our team would be english, to name a few Rooney, Welbz, Clevs, Young, Smalling, Jones, Carrick and possibly Theo.

I've just heard the rumour.

The phrase "Please God no..." comes to mind.

Not sure why anyone would be so dead against it. I don't think he's the 2nd coming or anything like that but for 8 mil would be a bargain.

He's too small and slight to be a modern day forward and he doesn't make up for it in other ways such has his instincts and his finishing.

Oh shit.....

All fair points but he could loose both legs in an industrial accident, be blind, and covered in acid like the guy at the end of Robocop and STILL be a better option than el ladyboy....

Don't speak too soon el Ladyboy has just managed 4 in 2.

Considering how frustrated I get with Nani, a player who is far more talented then Walcott... I can only imagine that a Theo in a United shirt (it won't happen of course, but as we're spitballing) would drive me over the edge.

His decision making is erratic, his final ball is generally poor, and more often then not, atrocious, he can't defend, he's not strong, he's not good in the air, he's not a great passer... All he is, is very very quick and a decent finisher... He's basically an upgraded version of David Bellion. You can buy much, much better players on the continent for £8million.

Maybe I'm being overly critical... but yeah, I thought the idea was to improve our side? I don't see how Theo Walcott does that... I certainly wouldn't have him over Valencia, Young or Nani.

Still... having said that, stealing Arsenal's players is a pretty funny excercise...

For the past 12-18 months he's really started to add consistency to his game, he's a much better player now than he was 2 years ago, I wouldn't mind if we signed him. To swap him for Nani though? not a fecking chance he will be available for 4-5m in a few weeks there's no need to swap any player for him.

No thanks, ffs!

Walcott was shite when he was playing in a decent Arse side, now they have lost all their best players he looks good. He's mid-table at best, so probably do well at Scousepool, but he's no where near United quality & we don't need anyone in his position anyway.

I like Walcott, but he's certainly not the one to fill any void left by Nani. I also think he's a centre-forward. We will need a more intelligent and imaginative player than Walcott if Nani were to leave.

I'm not convinced that Neymar is out of reach anymore tbh, judging by recent noises coming from Spain. With the resurgence of Brazilians at the top end of the English game, I think we may have a chance to lure him here. Been heavily linked with Chelsea of course, but he'd surely be one of the '3' there, so it isn't a pressing need.

Nike would fecking love it too!

Walcott is doing a Nasri, playing for a contract or a new club. Once he gets it he'll be mediocre again. Avoid.

His skin melted off! It melted!!! Man that movie is sick.

On topic, please don't sign Walcott United. I really don't want him here.

I hope that we do not sign him. Swapping him with Nani would be mental.

Everton, Liverpool , Newcastle, West Ham,

Walcott would do well at any of those.

Not really good enough to play up front for the next tier of clubs though, and certainly not good enough to play forward for us, given our 4, and as erratic as Young can be, hes still better than Walcott, anyone thinking hes better than Nani or Valencia needs a slap.

He doesnt want to be a winger, he wants to be a striker and no top club, including us, is going to give him that. He'll go to a Spurs or Everton to play as a striker or take the money to be a rotated/backup winger at City or Chelsea. Maybe Liverpool up front with Suarez is an option? I dont know.
