Mostly all of this is wrong.
Basically, Plopp was texting VVD for weeks and Saints have proof according to some sources.
Liverpool have panicked and thought "We better release a statement quick."

Nope struggling with that one and apparently Red bull won't play ball for Keita. Wouldn't be surprised if we got some sort of ban if the complaint is taken further. The youth sanction as well as the Dempsey debacle which resulted in Fulham refusing to talk to us over Sessegnon as well as Bayern reporting a tapping up for Gotze doesn't paint the best of pictures. I really cannot believe how stupid we've been.
Every other club taps up and none manage to get themselves caught it's become part and parcel of football. The only explanation that springs to mind is we seriously struggle to get players to want to come here so we need Klopp to play a much much bigger role than managers of other top clubs would. I doubt this would ever happen at Dortmund or elsewhere.

In this market, Smalling must be worth at least £25m - an England international. So £30m+Smalling would be a really good deal, but I dont think we should be so desperate, VVD isnt worth that sort of money.
