VAR, Refs and Linesmen | General Discussion

Losing “only” 2 games out of 8 isn’t quite the own she thinks it is. That works out to not far off 10 defeats in a season. When did Liverpool last lose that frequently?

Well they lost in 9 in 2 of the past 4 full seasons. 20/21 and 22/23. Almost there I suppose.

He's called Klopp a cnut on camera, so I think it's only fair that Klopp does it back to him and releases a video calling him a cnut.

A cnut for a cnut makes the whole world flap.

You know, it's actually not a bad idea. Career over, might be able to salvage something by appearing on football banter podcasts before starting his own. Deano would love it. What else is he going to do?

Needs to do it soon while still under investigation for maximum impact.

The rumours today first were about the referee being assistant var at the Germany Spain match - but he was assistant var at Portugal - France.

Funny is that the assistant var of the Germany - Spain match Frankowski was caught stealing street signs drunk and has an UEFA ban because of that...

So Coote being done here opens up a massive can of worms.
I hope he has dirt on Oliver at least.
I bet there’s loads of blackmail been doing the rounds going by the multitude of dodgy decisions over the last decade

They’re going to milk this aren’t they? 3 extra titles lost, another Benitez list of title losing referee mistake facts, national outcry to give them all the titles. Never have a decision go against them again. It’s going to be painful.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug
Read that in Rick James' voice
It’s a thing. Cokeheads often carry round a dedicated, rolled up dollar bill. Never been too sure why. Maybe they think it makes them look gangsta?
Maybe Dollar bills are better for helping ensure the passage of the powder? Maybe other currency isn't as reliable.

The first was a defeat to Brighton where Liverpool escaped 2 red cards for one awful foul by Fabinho and Konate escaped a 2nd yellow - which according to reports was yellow all day long

In the other defeat - Klopp was questioning why VAR wasn't used more - but that was hardly Cootes fault

As for the VAR - they lost 1 out of 14 with him as VAR and in that game only Everton was punished by var.

So there is nothing at all to indicate that Coote did something wrong in matches where Liverpool were involved

The Fabinho foul (on Evan Ferguson) was horrendous. I can't actually remember, was VAR around when that happened? One of the worst VAR decisions ever, if so.

So a lose rate that would have them on track to lose more than they did in their worst seasons of the last several years.

I don't think they lost any of those games because the referee was bent. Just nit-picking a fairly obviously dumb tweet.

2 in 8 tracks to 9.5 losses a season. You really are nitpicking.

The tweet referencing the 2 in 8 is a rebuttal of the idea that he's robbed Liverpool of titles, no?

It is. A very stupid tweet. Because when Liverpool lose at the rate they lost under Coote they don't win titles. So it's a terrible rebuttal.

What's your point?
