I didn’t realise he used his nationality, which is wrong, that could be seen as racial. But everything else he said was 100% the truth, completely stupid to say it on video while still being a premier league referee, but it is true what he said.

Klopp has regularly been absolutely disgusting towards match officials, reporters, interviewers etc. On many occasions he has acted in a way that could only be described as being an absolute “c*nt”, w@nker, or whatever.

He always got away with it though cause he was the Liverpool manager and therefore the media darling of English football, he could be horrible to a referee or an interviewer but it was ok but he jumped around like a clown and gave big hugs. He’s an absolute weapon of a man.

Was the referee completely wrong for saying what he said while still being a premier league referee? Absolutely.
Was everything he said completely correct? Absolutely.

No it isn't. Although its tricky as Liverpool will now just try and dictate that he doesn't officiate their games, and then that IS a problem unless the PL are going to let every team pick the referees they like.

So he is probably done.

If nothing else this is an insight into how astonishingly stupid premier league officials are.

We have this thread debating refereeing decisions and the legitimacy of them, whether VAR works, etc. and yet the whole thing is in the hands of thickos like this who you evidently can't even trust to engage their own brain without intervention for more than 5 seconds. This guy has been deemed competent to be a PL referee for years.
 
How stupid can you be? Seriously. It’s staggering how dumb our ‘elite’ refs are.

Should it be a sackable offence? Probably not. Will it be? Probably should. It’s totally untenable for him to be in charge of Liverpools games going forward.
 
Why is it such a big deal? I’m sure some refs thought SAF was a complete cnut. It’s not a big deal, I can totally see how SAF could not be everyone’s cup of tea. Liverpool fans should stop being so pretentious and take off their red tinted glasses.

How is this a suspension but there is no issue with Mike Dean exposing the fact they sometimes get decisions wrong on purpose because they just don't want their jobs to be difficult? Or its ok for Michael Oliver to literally be paid money by the owners of the team that keeps winning the league and is under investigation for cheating over 100 times?

The premier league has to be the worst managed and officiated brand of any professional sport in the world.

Considering, if you'd accept my apologies here, the total victimhood some United fans have and if this was a ref calling a United manager a Dutch cnut or a Portugese cnut, the level of outrage here would dwarf anything I have seen on Caf.

And the same if it was Arsenal.

Not everything is about being tribal about your team, we can sometimes leave the rose tinted glasses and be objective.

Maybe he'd get away with it if it was another club, but the scousers won't stop until he's living in a bin behind the local Aldi. You know how they are.

oh I agree. numerous incidents of him yelling at refs and getting in their faces with no punishment of course some think he's a cnut.

Coote was on VAR for the liverpool/tottenham match in 2023 where liverpool scored the winner in stoppage time and Klopp did his hammy aggressively running up to the 4th official John Brooks to get in his face
 
He probably spoke the truth about Jurgen and was pissed at his bullying but you just can't do that in public. I'd imagine a lot of refs really dislike Klopp, Pep and Arteta for sideline antics.
Spectacular way to throw your career away all the same and he will deservedly be fired. Sucks for him cause 90% of reds have probably said this about some manager or other in an equally shitty way but not dumb enough to let someone film.

Then he says it’s a fake, then agrees it’s real but can’t remember it. One sandwhich short of a picnic

Perception counts for a lot.

I'm sure every ref thinks certain managers or players are cnuts, I'm sure every workplace has tons of people thinking they work with cnuts, retail workers thinking customers are cnuts etc.

You're allowed to think it without saying it even if it's almost guaranteed that people will have these opinions. Unless they say it we'll just pretend that everyone is free of these thoughts and then be shocked when they do.

From his side he's stupid because that's the way the world works.

If mind reading technology ever came in we'd all be knackered for a short while! After an adjustment period people would have to get used to it whether it was thought or spoken and nobody would care in the end. It would either be that or sack everyone in every single workplace.

Not much different to it is now currently TBF. I mean even Coote didn't give Villa a stonewaller that would have been given down the other end.
