Loftus etc is the better midfield of the squad
Yep. He should have started. He is far more talented than the others.

Again you're still struggling to understand the concept so I think we will leave that one. And we've come to the conclusion that you've made your judgement of Southgate based on one game so I think we can leave that one too.
Actually two. Are you pleased with how England is playing today? With the frontline (Kane and Ings proven Premier League players) that he has, England has 0 goals so far. I´m not struggling with anything. It´s pretty clear what i said, you are the one struggling to understand. I don´t think Southgate work is bloody brilliant at the moment. I doubt it will be in the future because of the playing style they have displayed so far but you never know you might win something in the future if you keep qualifying. But yeah i´ll stop, i gave my opinion and i´ve read yours.

If you keep it up,in my eyes you deserve a medal
Good strike, but the keeper really should save that. Poor punch right before that, too.
Can't imagine Spurs dragging Kane to the other side of the world for two friendlies, after a long hard season has helped.
Look how tired this England team looks after 85 minutes. Backs up your point beautifully!
Wonder if England wins, will Southgate change his tune regarding performance/development vs result chase.

Actually that's a good point, why didn't Liverpool let Sterling come to this and then sell him to City for £55m – he'd be screwed next season what with the tiredness and pressureCan't imagine Spurs dragging Kane to the other side of the world for two friendlies, after a long hard season has helped.
I actually think Kane has been detrimental to this side since come back, he has wasted some very good chances these last two games. Can't imagine Spurs dragging Kane to the other side of the world for two friendlies, after a long hard season has helped.
Are you not watching?Girls, keep the bitchslapping down and just keep me updated on the game...pleeeaaase!
I know the feeling.Yep. It´s a goal nevertheless. And the group will be open till the end because i´m always pessimistic when facing the italians. We have a trully awful historial against them.

Don't say that too loud, the guy is the second coming
'I'm interested to hear what owen hargreaves has to say'
Possibly the only man in history to utter those words.
Now I'm gonna have to watch Italy Portugal tonight!
On a train, no LTE, the Caf is my favourite low bandwith choice...usually...Are you not watching?
Nice one.Weak starting 11, Moore and Lingard should never have been in the squad in the first place, average championship players at best who will never play for England again. Pritchard looked superb by contrast for Brentford last season and glides past players, either Keane or Chambers would have been better than Moore who should never have been kept instead of Dier.
Will Hughes is also a much better player than Tom Carroll who in fairness plays better for the under 21's than he does club, but he's not got much of an international future. At 23 he's yet to particularly impress anywhere, Hughes by contrast has a reasonable chance of being in the Euro 2016 squad if he can get a move this summer. Chalobah I guess makes some sense based on wanting a more defensive option.
But we'll see. I'm saying 2-1 to Portugal who have much more experience and a strong spine which should out. Hopefully if we do lose today its a reminder to Southgate of what should be some easy fixes for the next game.
That would open the group up a bit!I bet it will be as dull as Southgate tactical setup. I can see a 0-0 or 1-0 to the italians

He shouldve started ahead of Carroll in midfield against Portugal, he could've given Carvalho a harder time physically.Loftus Cheek is a big old unit!
