I've said the same in other threads. Aubameyang is class. Here's hoping. There's a lack of world class talent that is staring us in the face to be honest. Look at the striker options available and none of them scream world class really. Fwiw Liverpool and Arsenal have got the same problem at the moment so we're not alone.
I really would love to see us jump on the Aubameyang transfer though if PSG are baulking at his wages. We can afford it and he's at the right age profile to allow Rashford to take over in a couple of years. Both speed merchants aswell so wouldn't need to adapt our game when he left.
We need to upgrade what we have in addition to adding to the squad. Is Keane better than Jones or Smalling? No. Is Lukaku better than Rooney and Rashford, Yes. Is Isco better than Mata ? Yes
Sign Varane, Mendy, Isco, Lukaku and Lacazette and lets go
Look at Bailly and Micky last season - completely out of the blue.if United want Fabinho they are doing it bloody quietly
The question was "who are we signing?"?

Our fans losing their minds on twitter are pathetic too. So many kids tweeting "OMG Man Utd are doomed we need Neymar, Bale and Messi."
Eurgh.
It would definitely see us looking to play 4 3 3 more often next season I think. All 3, yes please!
We also signed Martial in August didn't we? Point still stands because the transfer window has been open for barely a week, I don't think it's even open in the UK yetWhilst I agree it's too early, using Pogba as an example is beyond daft. He was a special case given we had to wait until after a major tournament to move for him and the transfer was clearly a complicated one.
Cant help but think this will be a top transfer for them next season. Takes off a lot of the pressure on Mane.
We rarely leak when we are signing anybody. Only leak when the deal is done or we are trying to unsettle the player. Usually all the nonsense you read is clubs or agents trying to drum up interest or create a bidding war for their player. You must remember that after the Carrick testimonial all the united staff and most football journalists are going on vacation with most only getting back in July. Thus even if the deal is done to maximise the marketing potential of the new signing it will only be announced in July with the customary media event with our sponsors names plastered everywhere.if United want Fabinho they are doing it bloody quietly
Yeah, we tend to make fun of Liverpool's, Arsenal's and City's fans but seriously our fans are no better. Most of them are convinced City are going to win treble next year just because they signed a player first, others think Woodward is stupid and useless, and some of them even think about hanging themselves just because we haven't signed anyone yet... Seriously...
Our fans, jeez.
It's a generation thing I think. The older fan is more patient. The younger fan is from the 'I want it NOW' generation.Yeah, we tend to make fun of Liverpool's, Arsenal's and City's fans but seriously our fans are no better. Excuses, early. Why can't they spend as much as others?
Why can't they spend as much as others?
I remember him getting quite pissed off last summer because he was incessantly pestered by United fans.
I don't know why he indulges them.I remember him getting quite pissed off last summer because he was incessantly pestered by United fans.

Surely that isn't an actual quote from Wenger? Their fans will go absolutely mad!
However, he has cooled any talk of a large-scale overhaul, telling BeIN Sports that a 'maximum of two or three' signings will be made.
'We cannot spend as much as many other clubs because some clubs have external resources that allow them to be basically unlimited,' he added.
'We can spend money because we have managed the club well. Let's not forget the amount of money spent is not a guarantee of success.
'We have to be clear what we understand as a big signing. Is [Rob] Holding a big signing for you or not?
'When you buy a player for £40m, everybody will have at the start a positive judgement. When you buy him for £2m, he can't be good?
'That means a big signing is not necessarily linked with the amount of money spent.'
