Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Salah was shite at Chelsea wasn't he?

It's a Liverpool kind of signing really - not too bothered. Wouldn't want us to be linked with him, put it that way.

Would he get in the team and if so who would he replace ?
Well, it seems very improbable, especially after this great end of the season, but in case they tried it I think he would start on the bench.
He could take the place of James or Lucas Vázquez(in the squad).
He could replace Cristiano on the left sometimes, Bale or even someone in the midfield. I am not very sure why Zidane insists so much about him.

Liverpool is about right for him, he isn't a player to take them to the next level.

Mane and Salah are RW, can't remember seeing either on the left so interested to see how they line up. Salah through the middle maybe?

He would start end of. He can play any of LW/RW/CAM/SS/false 9. I don't think Benezema is long for Real and as much as Ronaldo insists he wouldn't play 9 that's what he'd line up as. There would a constant interchange of position amongst the attacking players.

Glad I could put a laugh on that face. All that calling out on ITK stuff must be frustrating for you. But I'm firmly behind you. ;)

Got any surprise news from that source of yours ?

You will be the first to know :)

I'm amazed Roma are letting him go.

Roma must sell every year one of their best players because of FFP..
In the last 3-4 years they sold Marquinhos (€32 mln), Lamela (€ 31 mln), Pjanic (€ 32 mln), Benatia (€ 30 mln), Romagnoli (€ 25 mln), Gervinho (€ 18 mln) and now Salah.

The signing of Bellerín is about to enter into an agreement with the transfer of Arda + money
(don´t know if he is reliable)

I was going to ask the same question. A relaxed Mourinho said that he needed some time with football out of his mind and that Woodward had his list, and people interpret it as a dig or Mourinho putting pressure on Woodward.
It isn't a dig but it certainly intensifies the pressure on Woodward to get those targets sorted since he mentioned Woodward had the list a month ago.

Its why i said it could be the year people get fed up with Woodward with Manchester City signing their targets one after the other makes Woodward look a bit silly considering he has had a month to sort out Mourinho's targets.

People always say transfers are difficult things but it never seems to be for other teams.

Maybe it's because you don't follow other teams closely so it just looks like it's easy for them, or because every journo in the world puts Man United name to every transfer rumour to get more clicks...

I follow transfer season every year and I know we have had the same amount of time to sort our targets out as City and yet they've tied up 2 targets and are working on more whilst we have sorted none.... even Liverpool appear to be closer to signing a player than we do.

Muppet suicidal rates are through the roof at the minute. Sometimes we mess about too much with transfer dealings and its cost us. Seems like we never learn.

Or we have our own schedule? Maybe, just maybe we know what we are doing and who we are signing?

Read any big club's forum at this time of year and their fans will also be spouting the same stuff.

We will all sign new players, and Utd will be able to spend more than most.

It's all good.

Thats wishful thinking and i hope it's true otherwise we're screwed next season we needed more than ever a summer like we had last year with 4 top signings to improve us.

It's not wishful thinking. It's rational thinking.

Parallel to last year, at this time we had also signed no one.

No, that's just what happens for most clubs, they don't sign most of their targets in May but between mid June and mid July. Don't be impatient for no good reason.

It's June the fecking 4th for feck sake!

Oh forget it, I give up.

Gutted I think he will be very good for them. I am a bit of a Roma fan as well and he's been brilliant this season, I'm sure Roma have already planned to spend the money on a couple of other promising talents.
Should we have been interested too? Right wing has been an issue for ages for us.

I get it Im being impatient it's been a difficult week with the Grieizmann news, I'm at an all time Muppet low and there's nothing to sink my teeth into.

The answer to your question is probably yes. As far as I know our (MUFC) fiscal year starts in July and ends in June, that's why we (Woody) try to make most of our signings after 1th of July.

I'd have taken Salah over Perisic or whoever dross we're linked to. He has very good qualities.

Player contracts across every club run till 30th June. That's why transfers conclude beginning of July
