Not quite sure I understand what that means.

I just hope it's his decision and not the higher ups. I guess we could have a few young players that can fill in, but it's a bit strange we seem to have these holes in the team and no action is happening.

Like a bunch around here, I hope we don't regret not getting Aurier. Not only for depth & improvement at the fullback spots, but also to deny a rival another player. Spurs might have done fine without Aurier, but I don't doubt he'll improve their options.

It could easily be a case where Jose was happy with his options, and maybe Zlatan put the kibosh on the deal.

No idea what point you're making? Much like the bluster over suing neymar it just seems childish ?
They aren't trying to stop you getting Lemar like a jilted lover. They couldn't get Coutinho and moved on to a reasonable alternative.

If anything, you can accuse them of unsettling Coutinho when the dumbasses should have aimed elsewhere to begin with. Actual midfielders, for starters.

Question: Is this transfer window circus finished tomorrow at midnight or Friday mid day?
The window shuts across England, Scotland, France and Italy at 11pm BST on Thursday, August 31.

Germany's window shuts slightly earlier, at 5pm on August 31.

Spain have 25 hours more than their English counterparts.

With quite a few left wingers potentially unsettled/unwanted (Sanchez, Ox, Draxler, Lemar) and it being an area Mourinho specifically mentioned as being weak, its strange we're not at least monitoring situations.
I think José has a plan and is sticking to it. Signing one of the above could possibly mean no Greizemann in January, or next summer.

11pm on Thursday for us. I think Spain is 24 hours later
Are you sure it is 11 pm? I kid you
Thank you very much boys, can't wait for it. Althou, have no idea what I will do Friday morning. Used to check the news first. Muppet...

Mourinho mentioned someone who can play Left wing back, not left wing only though.

He wants a more defensive out and out winger.

Thing is I don't really understand the rationale for targeting a left winger, we've already got the (albeit nice) headache of choosing between Rashford and Martial there since both have started the season well and we need to get them enough game time to develop. For the right though we only really have Mata (not preferred position), Lingard (not good enough to start) and I suppose Mkhi if we go 433 (again not preferred position).

Depressing, feels like its more financial restraint from the Glazers than Mourinho not wanting anyone else.
Come on, we have been one of the biggest spenders these past few years, I really think is Mourinho's choice because he has ideas about who he wants rather than a scattergun approach adopted by LVG! We've cleared big wages, made good money on Depay and Schneiderlin, decent pay outs from winning Europa League, need to push on, TV deal, all our sponsors.

Then why not go all out for Perisic, if the difference was a couple of million surely its not too big a difference.

Could Martial and Rashford be shifted to the right wing if we got a definite starter on the left?

We don't know that. Maybe ed is calling clubs right now and trying to make a deal.
We are just not desperate like others who really really need one or two players.
If i am ed, i would do just that. Call today potential targets/clubs and say-" last chance, take it or leave it. We can do without that player but can you refuse this money?"

It is if the board are restricting spending and will only allow him to spend a certain amount.

I've no idea where people get this idea from. We've spent big several windows in a row. Sure, we won't be paying 200M+ release clauses, but that's just mental.

For every player people don't understand why we don't go for him there's a far more reasonable explanation down the "does Mourinho want him?" path. E.g. being outbid by Spurs for Aurier, there's a million reasons for that more reasonable than financial restraint.

That ship has sailed, unfortunately. We should have paid outright but instead Woody engaged in that stupid waiting game of screwing Inter via FFP deadline, resulting in pissed off counterparts and his own ego now being in the way.
