Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

It would be funny if Conte managed to do the one thing Wenger couldn't do. Turn him into a consistently top class player.
Not possible. He is bang average. Chelsea need depth. He is home grown. That is the only reason this is happening.

A lot of people were expecting this. He has a year left on his contract so he hands in a transfer request and City bid £80m (or similarly crazy money) and Arsenal can't say no.

I hope Arsenal hold on to him because City is the only likely destination. Unless he's going abroad, in which case good riddance.

So they now have Willian, Moses and the Ox competing for a space on the right (WB, RM or whatever)

Willian never plays there, he plays as part of the front three. Just Moses and Ox competing at wing back.

How much is the premium that Liverpool is paying for Keita above & beyond the actual 48mil buyout? The earlier bids to bring him outright to Liverpool were rumored at 66mil pounds. No telling how much of that was add-on's vs upfront, but it makes you wonder how much RB discounted the selling price in order to keep him for the initial CL season. Maybe it's a flexible premium based on whether he is injured or even based on performance over this season? Must say, very astute on Liverpool's part to get it done somehow. They probably would've been priced out in a bidding war next summer, but they get it done early while RB gets to keep their prized asset for another season. Similar to a buy & loan, but it will interesting to see how much that premium winds up being. Is this the first time something like this has been done?

£3m is the premium that is being reported by Paul Joyce.
