Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Genuine question for Gooners, who'd they rather sell to? Yes you sold us RVP but they've had Nasri, Adebayor, Sagna and Clichy who've all won titles there I believe.

I guess Jose is here now actually.

City don't have anywhere near the history with Arsenal we do. They would definitely prefer selling to City. RvP was painful for them.

Maybe worth asking the Arsenal fans we have here.

Sanchez and Aurier would definitely help us steam roll through the league and seriously challenge for Champions League

Wenger is an idiot. He could've spent this summer spending a truck load of cash on players who actually want to play for Arsenal. Instead he's left with a club in disarray and no time left to do business when they do inevitably feck off.

Frankly, I just think Wenger sees us as more of a rival than City, and certainly a bitter rival at that. City haven't the continuity of manager for a start, for Wenger to even begin forming a rivalry/feud with a City boss. There's too much history, too much bad blood, between our two clubs and I genuinely think he'd rather sell to Spurs than us, if he had a choice. The fans might consider Spurs their sworn enemy, but for Arsene Wenger, Arsenal's biggest rival is MUFC.

At this point, Sanchez should just force a move. Sanchez is a quality player but when the going gets tough, he's a let down. He should just force a move and Arsenal should just sell him and get some money off him and reinvest in the squad. Arsene would be stupid to keep him and lose him for free. There is no way he's going to sign an extension especially with the start they've had. They practically lost all of their games. Even the Leicester win was a fluke.

Our RB Fabinho?

I think we tried but Monaco were too difficult to negotiate with. Doubt we'll come back in for him. Monaco would ask a lot of money (like 50m) which is a lot for a right back

Any thing is possible this late in the window if the player wants out.

I don't understand this. Twice the amount is appropriate for a central midfielder or an attacker but somehow there's a consensus that defenders, especially sidebacks, are significantly less important and clubs shouldn't spend big money addressing those positions.

See how vital Marcelo is for RM and Dani Alves when he played for Barca. Imagine how much better we would be if Valencia had Beckham's crossing for instance. We'd be miles better. Weird example maybe, but the way I see it the quality of sidebacks are often the difference between the very best teams and the ones in the tier just below. Think about every top side in recent years. Real have Marcelo. Barca had Alves. Bayern had Lahm and now have Alaba. We had Evra.

From the Gooners I know they would much rather Sanchez go to City over us. City they see as a sugar daddy club while aside from Spurs there is too much history with United.

See, I'd see that as a reason to not sell him to them. I'd rather us sell a player to Barca than PSG. Or, as much as I'd still hate it, I think I'd prefer to sell to Liverpool than City.

Well we're United we have that history with City. That's why they would never sell a player to Spurs.

Trust me but apparently PSG and Arsenal would prefer to sell to Spurs and City, that really annoys me if true why hate on us if we are interested and we bid the same amount.

Just a little over 3 days left, the transfer window is hotting up. Side note if Fabinho is still available and not heading to PSG, why are we still not on this?

So like I said, I'd rather to Barca than PSG. And it's not as if we don't have history with Liverpool either.

Can't stand the bitter cnut Wenger. He didn't even want to let us sign Debouchy, so no surprises here.
Especially considering we gave them the impenetrable rock that was Mikael Silverstre and the English Messi - Daniel Welbeck.

Ffp has kind of made transfers a joke, Monaco the champions are loaning their biggest asset to their biggest rivals. Might as well have a no ffp system
