Well with the news that City have made an official move for Mbappe, I think we will see a lot more action now. Madrid/Perez seem obsessed with Mbappe.
Jose totally played down that Bale link the other day. I'd hope we are in for him but seriously hope if we start our bidding way below Real's valuation and they shit themselves as City get closer to Mbappe.
Getting Bale would possibly be the huge game changer we need. Very risky with serious concerns about his injury proneness, but I think it's a gamble we simply have to take if the opportunity presents itself. He's the kind of explosive player we desperately need going forward.

If he does go to Madrid, like others have said, it's hard to imagine any one of Ronaldo, Bale, Mbappe sitting on the bench for most of the season. You don't smash/double your transfer record to have someone like Mbappe sit on the bench
