Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

It's transfer related.

The clubs spending the most are spending fractions of their declared turnover. Only way it's unsustainable is if City/Chelsea get fecked with FFP.

Levy is just moaning.

Has to be City. They need a holding midfielder, who can start attacks. At the moment, they only have Toure that can do that, and he isn't getting any younger.

Can imagine a midfield of:

Silva De Bruyne
Carvalho

Fernandinho? Pep is a big fan.

AGREEMENT signed with COUTINHO. FCB has all tied with the player. The club negotiates with Liverpool for the transfer

fecking hell, Dan, talk about the farmer putting the fox in the hen house and then being surprised to know it had led to a pissing slaughter.

The hen houses in question belong to some other clubs in his view, not Spurs, so why would he mind if there was a slaughter?

So, Liverpool said they don't want to sell but Barca agree a deal and have a signed contract already? Barca being Barca but at least it's Liverpool a club with similar transfer tactics as themselves.

Haven't really seen much of him outside of Portugal games. Is he good enough?

He is really great as CDM, but he is a bit slow. So he would not fit good next to Xhaka, because both would be too slow. Could imagine United or City.
Physical strong, good anticipation, very calm on the ball. Has impressed me a lot during the CONFED Cup.

The source of Coutinho news is RAC 1 which is supposed to be reliable.

Can see this deal being done at +85m euro. Liverpool will find it really hard to replace him.

Yeah, I think Liverpool would struggle this season if he goes. Like you say, difficult to replace.

Doubt they would let him go unless they get Keita. And I know they aren't identical.

So Madrid who sold Morata and Danilo for +90m need to sell Bale to get Mbappe.

But City who paid +200m this summer already without selling any player for a significant price are in a good position to pay +150m for Mbappe.

Fair logic.

Imagine City sign Mbappe whilst we haggle over a few million for Perisic..

Say what you want about their spending (I think it's utterly ridiculous now) but they are getting their deals done, unlike us.

Good update from Sammy Lee.

It would be perfect if Real sign MBappe and sell Bale to us leaving City without anyone. Well possibly Sanchez but I can't see Arsenal selling if they don't get Lemar. It's unlikely that Monaco will sell Lemar and Mbappe in one window imo.

Id love Bale but City missing out on a Superstar and United getting one as part of that deal doesnt sound realistic to me

2 things

1 City over Madrid? No, just doesnt happen (unless madrid do not bid)
2 For the money talked about, £160m, youd have to be seriously daft to pay it. I am sorry but feck off. It wont be signing of the summer, itll be the most stupid signing of the summer. Sheer mental
