Why? It's generally accepted for clubs not to stand in their players way if they want to leave. At least that's how we did it with Ronaldo, or Liverpool with Suarez etc (they stayed an extra season given they had a few years in their prime and then left).

They will end up getting Sanchez. Sanchez and Aguero are pretty much on par, however Sanchez is rarely injured which would be a big boost for City.
