Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Modern journalism at its finest. I don't know what he said, but here's 2 words out of context

The statement was along the lines of "we never thought about it, we don't waste our time on players who are mission impossible".

I've read on a few different websites that Mahrez's contract does not have a release clause on it. I reckon Utd should throw in a £20m - £30m bid for him. You simply won't find a player with his skillet for that amount.

They want £50 million and know we're loaded. So it'd be £50 mill or not happening.
There is certainly no value in the market this summer.

You say post 2010 pep has been better than post 2010 version of jose. But yet the current jose has won many important trophies when compared to pep. People underrate Jose's work at real madrid, let us not forget it was Jose's madrid that pipped pep's greatest barca side to the la liga title. He came at chelsea and won the title and yes he had a horrendous third season but still you cannot just forget he won the title with chelsea. Yes pep also won 3 consecutive titles with Bayern but is it really that tough to do that. Then jose took over a broken manchester united while pep took over a not so broken team , yet jose managed to win trophies. So this whole theory jose is past it is becoming boring.
It's like one rule for jose and one for others aka pep and klopp

Great story. If you read my post I said it was my opinion. I also think Jose is a great manager didnt say otherwise so not sure about one rule for one and not the other nonssense

To say City were not a broken team is a bit silly. They finished above us the season before on goal difference or was it a single point?

Hasn't Aurier already been denied a Visa once or am I getting him confused with someone else?

Aurier is a good player but I thought his criminal record stops him entering the UK. Something about attacking a police officer?

Which is fair enough if true

Aurier is trouble isn't he? We wouldn't want that disruption.

He also said on Periscope Q&A that Blanc was a faggot who sucks Zlatan's dick, was sent to train with the reserves for that.

So Darmian leaves for Inter in return for Perisic and we bring in Aurier as a replacement? That's a big improvement in terms of squad quality.

Yeah he's an imbecile and lost his first team spot for Meunier, but on form he's an excellent fullback.

You have Bailly though who could help in sorting him out and Mourinho won't take any shit.

I would love Aurier. If we can sort his mentality out, we'd have one of the World's best RBs for peanuts. Unlike every other player in our squad, he can actually cross a ball too.

Could also form a good RCB/RB partnership with Bailly, as they know each other and have played together for the NT.

But imagine they go to CoAN together. Anyway, if the fee touted is real then it's worth the gamble.

What a fantastic manager pep is, it's unbelievable how well he does when he's either got two squads of the two best teams in the world or spends 500 billionty pounds on every top player possible, I just don't know how he does it, he's a bloody genius.

He tried to replicate Barca that didn't work, he now is trying to replicate Monaco by buying Monaco and suffer the same fate. At which point will he realise that Barca not only had the best players at their peak but were technically light years ahead of everyone else. The players he has bought in are not and will never be at the required level to pull off what the vastly superior Barca or even Munich players could. Short of buying the whole squad it can't be replicated. He's better off trying to get to an achievable style that can work for his players and the league

Based on what? Jose has won the Champions League with two unfavoured teams. Pep has won it with possibly the strongest club side ever.

I contend that sucking off Zlatan is the most heterosexual thing a man can do.

Good post.

Why? You cannot hold someone's past history against them for the rest of their lives, well unless you were the victim, which I very much doubt,

Why can't I? Playing professional football at the highest level, earning millions and being a role model to others is a scarce privilege. If you cannot behave in a manner that is worthy of deserving this privilege (not assaulting police officers), then I don't think they should be allowed to remain in this honoured role. I wouldn't be holding it against him for the rest of his life, but for his playing career, certainly.

I have huge respect for police officers, regardless of their nationality. If a police officer was found to assault a member of the public with no grounds for doing so, then they would be sacked and have their career destroyed. A professional footballer does the reverse, gets a slap on the wrist and continues his career earning millions like nothing has happened.

Such a person would not be welcome in my football club.

Well in the real world you don't own a club. Footballers get into scrapes, they're human. The law dealt with the matter.

Actually, in most countries the Police are never held accountable for such actions. And not just third world countries.
