I doubt it is really that we don't want him, the likely scenario is that with the transfer ban at AM, he has decided to stay one more year since they can not replace him at this time.
I know he's not liked but he got the Pogba deal spot on last season when everyone was saying it was off.

If they were to get all of those it would be a well over £350m spending spree rather than 250m.

LOL those four would be 250m on top of what they've already spent and there's no way they can keep all of Aguero, Jesus, Sane, Silva, Silva, KDB, Sterling, Sanchez and Mbappe happy.
Atletico would probably tell us to pay the release clause upfront, which is basically a "you're not signing him". We would have to look elsewhere.

I fail to see how we'd want him as a supplement to Zlatan; only to decide we don't want him as a supplement to an inferior Zlatan replacement. Makes no sense.
You mean us as a club? Somebody wise here once said that it's a doggy dog world, while I understand the struggle (that they sort of brought on themselves, it's not like the ban was imposed upon them based on nothing), I doubt the club would give a feck.
If we don't get Griezmann and lose Zlatan, we will have a worse lineup. We need to replace Zlatan and add more goals from elsewhere. At the moment all we have is the devastating contribution of Martial, Rashford, Mata and Mhki. Which adds up to not very much.
Oh come off it, stop jumping the gun, these are just newspaper reports most of which will likely say something completely different tomorrow- if not sooner.
