Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Holy crap, United are looking to sign someone who puts the ball in the net after a season when we consistently couldn't? Shocking stuff.
Griezmann puts them in the net better than anyone...

Anyone else would be a downgrade from him (even if he plays a different position, he's still one of the best goal scorers in the world)

All very underwhelming signings competed to Griezmann.

Also Ronaldo, no thanks.
Griezmann could still happen I wouldn't count out that myself.

I think Belotti or Lukaku would suit Mourinho's style the best. Not a big fan of Morata and no way is Ronnie returning.

Thought we'd maybe moved past nonsense like this but clearly not, if Pogba was worth the money then Griezmann certainly is and I'm sure we could afford to pay it up front. Obviously this could be a tactic but why make it so public and get your own fans annoyed at you? Bizarre.

Atleti are locked in now. Cant sign anyone on their end, so it's stump up full amount or shut up. Can concentrate possibly on other targets first I suppose. Still think Griez will be done.

The way I see it, if we are no longer going in for Griezmann, then surely we have someone better, or someone of that class, as our first priority. Bale, Neymar, etc. If not, then it's a bit shit.

Funny thing is, yesterday it was reported that Morata was more of a priority then Griezmann

Moratas gone to Milan so I think we're gonna throw everything at Mbappe.

This was my first thought as well after reading Di Marzio's tweet yesterday and also after these news today. If they are true, then surely that means we are eyeing a bigger fish than Griezmann.

Not many bigger too be honest. I'd rather have Griezmann than Mbappe

Bale is not a bigger fish currently. Neymar and Mbappe are pipe dreams at this point

I really do find it hilarious that people follow and believe half the shite that's mentioned on Twitter, same goes for the journalists.

Bale and a good striker or Griezmann and a good winger. What you going for?

Well there you go. Ogden has already got an article about Bale's career being at a crossroads at Madrid about an hour after we supposedly pull out of Griezmann.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Well Bale is atleast as big a name as Griezmann. Don't know if we can label him a bigger fish.

As for Neymar, well I'll say this. I'm living in Barcelona currently and there are a fair few people here who are a bit worried about these Neymar to Utd links that popped up a couple of months ago. But it's probably because these Catalan people believe the word of their newspaper Sport ( which reported that story) as the truth more often than not.

I would want to see Mbappe for another season before spending that sort of money. Griezmann has been around longer so you know he isn't a one season wonder. Don't think Mbappe wants to come here, so think it would cause problems not far down the line.

If you combine BBC's griezmann story with Di Marzio's list yesterday, the two most reliable outlets in the transfer business. Nothing makes any fecking sense.:lol::lol:

IF we believe both those outlets, our first two targets are either staying (Mbappe) or going to another club (Morata), and now the third target (griezmann) is no longer a target because we are looking for a CF.

I want to get off Uncle Woodwards wild ride :wenger::wenger::lol::lol:

There's no possible way both Jose and Ed didn't discuss this after these injuries happened IMO. Also I believe we were getting a defender anyway whatever Rojo got injured or not.
Of course they did, but the poster was implying it should all be settled given the list was drawn up in March. Loads of relevant uncertainties remained all the way to our last game and even with Atlético's ban decision pending until now.

That Griezmann is third on our list of priorities behind Mbappe and Moratta.

Oh, of course.

I don't get that, though, as they are all differ in styles.

If it was out of Morata and Mbappe, though, then it would have to be Mbappe. His potential is frightening.

#Chelsea could send Kurt Zouma to #Lyon as part of a deal that sees Corentin #Tolisso head to Stamford Bridge. (L'Equipe)

To make it clearer. Aulas was in London to negotiate Bertrand's transfers to Lyon and used the opportunity to ask about Zouma availability while Chelsea asked about Tolisso. So it's not a swap deal, it's first about Bertrand.

Might as well:

Lyon President Aulas met with Chelsea yesterday to negotiate a deal for Bertrand Traoré, according to L'Équipe

I hope we are dealing with the other positions we need to fill as well and do not waste the whole summer on the striker and end up scrabbling around at the end of the window.

For what it's worth I find it hard to believe that Lyon would be interested in a loan move for Zouma, considering they already have 2 very talented CBs and don't need another prospect there. Especially one that they wouldn't be able to sell later on.

Can't wait for the sane journos to say we're back for Griezmann and all the people to believe them just like they believe this story.

Not with Jose. He's told Woodward what he expects, not as easy as other managers who had a wishlist only

I don't think it's a loan move, at least I haven't seen a loan being mentioned.

Yeah I agree. Mbappe needs another season at Monaco. I'm not going to knee jerk and say we don't know what we want, but we never seem to get things done quickly.

Pulling out of Griezmann deal so we can spend more on Perisic

Imagine that deal getting announced tomorrow. I'd have to avoid this place for quite some time!
