It was in response to someone suggesting we sell both Jones and Smalling and would buy Bonucci.

First of all I don't think Jose will sell both Jones and Smalling, he'll keep one around for cover. Imo together with Bailly, Lindelof, Rojo and Tuanzebe that is comfortable.

If we would sell both, it would be stupid to spend alot on someone like Bonucci as we already have alot of good centrebacks. I think we might someone in reserve that won't cost alot of money. But if we didn't I think we would also be ok as we have 4 good centrebacks and on top of that Blind, Carrick, Darmian and TFM that could cover in case of emergency aswell. It is more cover than most teams have.

If he sells one my money is on Mike

So they'll have £50m Sterling, £55m KDB, £50m Stones, £50m Mendy, £50m Kyle Walker, and I believe Bernardo's fee rises to £50m with add-ons. :wenger:

Wait. I thought he was out till next year. He is walking around already? How far away is he from full fitness?

He can walk but I'm sure he's still some months away from using his legs in a competitive game. It's still a massive progress, though.

£60m with addons for Bernardo.

Will be by far the most expensive backline in history with the new fullbacks. Crazy considering most of that potential backline are considered pretty dodgy at actually defending!

Pope of pompous you say? Im allowed my opinion too which is give a lad a chance IF he even signs ffs

I had a gander through your posts and all you do is spout that kind of stuff to anyone that is against a signing. Why not try offer some actual debate eh? Something constructive as to why you want Perisic so much; I mean you do have 50/60 odd posts in his thread whereas I have a massive 6 and in none of them do I call him shite etc.

Frankly, to me, he's just meh, I don't really care about him and won't be thrilled if we sign him. Nevertheless, I'll get behind him and hope he can play a part for us. I've seen him have some good games for his country and a-few for Inter, so if he can show that on a consistent basis, then fantastic.

Your posts are just provocative and offer nothing whatsoever. I never wanted Schweinsteiger as I felt he was well past it; should I have believed he was going to be amazing just because the manager at the time wanted him? Your whole rationale and reasoning makes no sense whatsoever; are you telling me managers don't make mistakes? That's a very pompous line of thinking.

A gander he says. How much gandering have you really given Inters games the last few seasons?

I wonder how many Monaco are going to let go this window? Bernardo Silva's already gone, Mendy appears to be on his way and both Fabinho and Bakayoko are being heavily linked elsewhere along with obviously Mbappe. They'll be gutting half their team at this rate.

EDIT: Forgot Lemar aswell.

The owner lost half his fortune in a divorce some years ago. Might want to collect now.

Surely City will enter the season as heavy favorites with the bookies, right? If they don't win the title with that squad they're assembling, feck me!

Definitely. If they add Sanchez also it would be a sackable offence to not win the league with that squad.

50M for Mendy, 50M plus for Silva, 55M for Walker and 35M for Ederson and they'll still require back up full backs, a CB and a CM.

a 300M window for City?

I know the modern thinking at these coaching conferences etc. is that full back is now arguably the most important position on the pitch in terms of touches of the ball and all that jazz, but you have to tip your hat to Levy if he gets £55m for a full back. Particularly if, if the stories are to be believed, Poch has certain doubts over in terms of his stamina/ability to play two games a week.

Annual creaming over City has begun. August and September will be u unbearable.
May be different this time as they'll actually be buying quality defenders.
