I do. Closest striker to Costa out there in terms of playing style. Would perfectly fit in Conte's system. More so than Morata or Aubameyang.
Totally agree. I'm kind of sorry we didn't went for him, but it was much riskier.

Jesus wept. Do Spurs fans just spend their days looking for anything posted on the internet that may harm their club in any way and feel compelled to defend it?

They seem to be a rather insecure bunch.

I think its due to spending so many years behind Arsenal's shadow. Even when they finally finish ahead of them, Arsenal go and win a trophy something which Spurs haven't done in a decade.

White text?

No white text we had one of the best defences in the league (for the second season in a row btw) and we have just added a £35m CB on top of that.

I think we have far bigger issues that need adressing than adding another CB even one as good as Bonucci.

Bailly-Lindelöf will be a good cb partner ship, Bailly-Rojo is also good and no doubt Lindelöf-Rojo will also be good. Next to that we have Tuanzebe and I'am sure Jose will keep one of Jones or Smalling for cover aswell. Centreback position is sorted.

Attacking wise, I think he succeed better than our own Mourinho, actually.

And rightfully so, with all the attacking talent they have, with most of them playing together for a while. We relied on Zlatan and Micky, who were new transfers, and some youngsters...

How on earth would he fit Aguero, Jesus, David Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Sané, Bernardo Silva and Mbappe in one team, without half of them sulking about not getting any minutes?

Well if we sell both we sure as hell will be buying one, thats for sure

I don't think we will sell both and if we do we won't be signing a big name like Bonucci for alot of money that absolutley has to play. We didn't spend £35m on Bailly and Lindelöf to bench them.

Yeah, who would want those players, right? And I'm pretty sure Guardiola can come up with something awkward to fit them all in.
They have Sterling, KDB, D.Silva, B.Silva, Sane, G.Jesus and Aguero. They are heavily linked to Alexis Sanchez and now Mbappe you don't see a problem with that No?

Ah yes - the historical 3-2-5 formation :) With D.Silva and KDB behind Sterling, Jesus, Mpabbe, Aguero and B.Silva :)

Bernardo–de Bruyne–D.Silva–Mbappé
Sterling– – –Sané
Jesus
Agüero
I suppose Agüero would want to leave, though. Not the others, they're young.

I see a good problem I wish United had.

They cant fit them all in at once without conceding 5 goals evrry game and they arent getting Mbappe anyway.

We have Bailly, Lindelöf, Rojo and Tuanzebe, we don't need anymore centrebacks

Are you serious ? Rojo who just had a serious knee-injury. Tuanzebe with 3 League matches or something like that, Lindelöf who is just to play a minute in the P.L and Bailly who is bound to get some injuries / suspensions due to his style of play.

I would keep both - at least until i am convinced by Lindelöf and I see that Rojo is back at 100% - then I might let Smalling go if we get £30 million

Aye, Costa became amazingly overrated on here for a bit but I never really saw it with him, to be honest. I don't really rate Perisic and the money being quoted is absolutely mental; literally no other team on the planet would go near him at that price. I have seen him have some good games though, so if we sign him - which we probably will - I hope he can be a useful signing.

Quick tell Jose he is making a huge mistake.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be Moyes-like summer where we were chasing players that are extremely difficult to acquire until the deadline day, in the meantime, passing on numerous opportunities to land other players that could easily improve us.
It's not possible to have a Moyes like summer.

They would score 3 goals per game and concede 7. None of those 5 starters are tracking back.

We're the richest club in the world and people complain about us spending £40m+ on players. Yet you have clubs like Everton and Leicester offering over £40m for a player and a club like Swansea rejecting it.

Bernardo does track back, although not very effectively. Anyway, I used a formation already tried last season for them. Doesn't mean it would work in every game, of course.

If there's one team in the EPL Mbappe could go to and I wouldn't worry about it, it would have to be City. Already similarly strong options up front with similar ceilings.

Because we never get injuries at CB. Jose wont sell both

It was in response to someone suggesting we sell both Jones and Smalling and would buy Bonucci.

First of all I don't think Jose will sell both Jones and Smalling, he'll keep one around for cover. Imo together with Bailly, Lindelof, Rojo and Tuanzebe that is comfortable.

If we would sell both, it would be stupid to spend alot on someone like Bonucci as we already have alot of good centrebacks. I think we might someone in reserve that won't cost alot of money. But if we didn't I think we would also be ok as we have 4 good centrebacks and on top of that Blind, Carrick, Darmian and TFM that could cover in case of emergency aswell. It is more cover than most teams have.

MENDY TO MAN CITY CLOSE

Sky sources understand Manchester City are close to finalising a deal for Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy.

Monaco value the player at more than £50m, and as we reported on Tuesday, are not willing to sell unless they receive an "exceptional offer".

City are thought to have been offering nearer to £40m.

Sky Sports News HQ believes significant progress has been made in negotiations between the clubs in the last 24 hours and the deal could be agreed before the end of the week.

Mendy is keen on a move to the Premier League and earlier this week, posted a picture on Instagram wearing Union Jack shorts with the caption: ”See You Soon”.

Monaco look to have already found Mendy's replacement, following the signing of Feyenoord’s Terence Kongolo for £12million.

With how long its'taken City to sign Mendy despite all of the hints from him, I hope people understand even the simplest of transfers can take forever

Quick tell Jose he is making a huge mistake.

You do realise you just come across as monumental bell end posting shite like this in every thread? No debate whatsoever, just this holier than thou bollox.

I don't really rate Perisic, I'm sorry if that deeply offends you. However, if we sign him then grand and let's see what he can do...

So thats Silva, Mendy, Bakayoko gone from the starting eleven. Fabinho and Lemar also in discussions for moves.

Disappointed we didnt snap one up, especially one of Fabinho/Silva/Lemar

So City may have about 4-5 players in their XI that cost £50m or more each. Ridiculous.
