Unless the likes of Bale and Sanchez suddenly become realistic options (unlikely) Perisic is definitely the most gettable winger out there, and at the end of the day we can afford £45m. I think he will surprise people.

I think it was a mistake as pretty much every where else (Guardian, Telegraph, MEN, Mail and Mirror) have said that we bid £40m (so closer to €45m) and are raising our bid to €50m.

I have yet to find the corresponding information in Italian, though, which would indicate it comes from us or closer to us.

Perisič is worth nowhere near what Inter are asking. They signed him for €16m only two years ago, and to be demanding that sort of profit, he would have to have gone over there and set SerieA alight and been one of the best players there. They are asking almost double what Juve paid for Dybala.
He isn't good enough to play in a front 3 in my opinion, he's more suited to being a proper winger, which likely won't be enough from a goalscoring perspective in a front 3. You would want at least one wide player in the 3 to be able to get near 20 goals. Martial could, he can't.

It's a common theme around here that a player isn't capable of progressing under the tutelage of a new manager at a different club.
Dier would be my choice. And I'd ask those who are so adamant against his signing, why it is Mourinho has made him his prime midfield target? He's better placed than us - that goes without saying.
