Paris is vastly overrated. Just look at the thousands of Japanese tourists who suffer from "Paris syndrome" This is a profound disappointment and confusion from oriental vistors who have saved for years to go there, only to feel totally let down by the actual experience /lack of welcome they receive.
The japanese embassy spends serious money sending people home..

Just don't pass that onto Mr or Mrs Alves!

This part always make me laugh, who is supposed to welcome them?

Wasn't even aware we had supposed interest

Why on earth would we when it's the one position we have no problem with - we have the best starting keeper in the PL, probably the best back up keeper in Romero and a very promising young keeper

Altering dates on contracts is simply fraud. Any other busines and its a legal nightmare but the Premier League only looked into it?
Thats a disgrace

Have heard of this and just google it, seems the Japanese embassy actual deals with fewer that 25 cases a year.

One study mentioned here http://www.iflscience.com/brain/par...r-caused-by-visiting-the-city-of-love/page-2/ found only 63 cases over the course of 16 years.

Estimates are over a million Japanese people visit Paris each year, with a dozen or so having to be sent home for this 'afflication" the thing most of the reports do not mention is any sort of comparison with other nations having to help tourist return home from Paris, nor any comparison for embassies helping tourists return home from other major destinations (London, NY, Tokyo, etc) due to similar issues.

Last comments on Paris from me in this thread.

Fair play with the stats about japanese visitors...maybe they are getting used to it....I tried talking to people on the tube first few times I visited London...soon learned not to ;-)

Did a thread on this guy, Looks (yes youtube) a massive talent. Surely City would be one of the worst moves for him though the amount of attacking players they already have and are signing. Reports said we have been monitoring him and Spurs were rumoured to be interested last month.
Fees being mentioned are that is club want 12m. Seems the perfect new number 7 type signing for our club to me, could be the deal of the summer, a similar type signing to Dortmund signing Dembele last year....but if he goes to City, having the likes of Sane, Silva etc to compete with he could stagnate, hope we get involved, hardly a gamble, I mean who the hell could you sign in the premiership for 12m?

Yeah all about Hart. Let's sign up Lucas for defensive midfield while we're at it.

Let's keep the number 7 for a real marquee signing. Since Ronaldo, everyone who wore 7 has failed miserably to live up to the shirt.

Pretty quiet on the MUFC front. Maybe we won't do much business until a few of the exhibition games to let Jose get a read on whether some of the youngsters are ready to step up. First one up this weekend already, with another 2 days afterwards. Important time for Pereira, TFM, and Axel.

Actually I am not too sure about that..

I liked him at Porto and he's been very unlucky to compete against Carvajal for that RB spot. I think he's a great player and with regular game time I can see him reaching his Porto level again.

Honestly I would had been happy if we considered him as Valencia cover/successor

Everyone I watched him for Real he was horrendous. A mate of mine whose a big Madrid fan also doesn't rate him at all.
