Good old school winger. No BS. Just take the ball, run along the wings, beat opponents with pace, whip in a good cross and make the full backs worried all the time. Simple. No drama. No razzmatazz.

Ah yes, I think he is too, but until they do, jury is out regardless of what they've got in attack. Remember they weren't bad in attack last year either. Agree on keeper from what I've seen and read of The guy they signed.

Sounds like Valencia, except for the good cross part and full backs shins being worried.

That's what I like about him too. If not him, then I'd be happy with a good "old school winger". I miss having one.

What's interesting is he was free last summer and he only chose Celtic because Galatasaray decided not to sign him. His turnaround is impressive.

Didn't we offer the same and get rejected by Madrid? It'd be interesting how the relationship between the clubs evolves if Madrid end up selling him for less than they quoted us to our direct rivals.

The thing is, Madrid have less options to sell to now and they need Morata gone to free up a space for (probably) Mbappe. They were 100% willing to sell to United and most likely would have dropped the price later in the window but wanted to push United to the brink in the hope of getting a panic bid for more than he was worth. Didn't work out like that and Morata might go for a more realistic figure now.

We might be asking too much money perhaps. Earlier in the window the figure quoted was around 2.5m, that's a good enough amount I'd say.

Go with the marrative ;-). Didn't hear anyone speaking last season about how Conte sidelined the youth. It's a lovely stick to beat Jose with, so everyone just goes with it. People cite Lukaku and KdB as examples, forgetting all the background. Fact is, Jose is no different to any other manager in this regard and the old adage of "if you're good enough, you'll make it" will always hold.

No. Why are people wanting to get rid of Martial, our most talented player? Ever since Jose started marginalising him, people just seem to have taken that on board instead of remembering how talented the guy is.
We shouldn't allow him to go anywhere.

That's simply not true.

But agree with the overall idea that Martial should be here next season fighting for a starting spot.

A loan is hardly getting rid, it would be a way of getting his confidence back.

I wouldn't be totally against the idea.

His attitude last season was poor and to be fair, I don't think we should hoard a player (a la Real), who doesn't fit with any system we play and who is going to get few chances - if any. He has a lot of potential you say, but his numbers in the LvG season too looked flattering given how s**t the rest of the team was. There have been false dawns with players before. If he shines on loan, we could easily fit him back in.

Jesus, the guy is 21. Plenty of players are inconsistent at this age. Rashford was hot and cold this year too but no one would dream of selling him or putting him out on loan.
