Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Fabulous based on what? His performance for Colombia 4 years ago? The same player that if doesn't move from Madrid now, is in jeopardy of not making the WC squad this time? Signed a 6 year deal and now needs to force a move?

He hasn't shown growth Madrid.

No, he's not a fabulous footballer. He's a 25 year old that had potential 4 years ago that hasn't developed. Worth a punt? Perhaps. But not at the price Madrid wants.

He had a very good first year at Real.

I'll always be grateful for his fabulous assist for Ronaldo against the Scousers at Anfield.

He also didn't start being a good player at the World Cup. He'd already had like a £40m transfer by then, or whatever Monaco paid for him (think it was more even).

WTF??? Surely this is a wind up?
Twitter or Google can't seem to translate it properly. In the comments people are saying it means..."United are really stealing Bakayoko away from Chelsea, I'm dead"

Bakayoko is shite imo. Really don't see anything apart from a good engine.

They quote Spalletti from a Sky interview, but say according to their sources Inter want 50m
In Italian it's according to Sky Sports, don't mention any source and say we got near to their request by putting on the table €45m: Il Manchester United, stando a quanto riportato da Sky Sports, sta continuando a spingere per portare Ivan Perisic ad Old Trafford; il croato dell'Inter è valutato 50 milioni di euro dai nerazzurri che si sono già preparati a dire addio all'esterno ex Wolfsburg. I Red Devils, infatti, si sono avvicinati molto alla richiesta dell'Inter mettendo sul piatto 45 milioni di euro.

It would make sense, now that the player has encounter the manager and might have said he wanted to go.

On their English page they say nothing about Sky sources

I think we can all agree his growth has stalled at Madrid. Whether you think he's worth a shot at £50m or not. I'd say no, based both on that price, and the fact that he has no role in Jose's starting XI setup, either in a 352 or 433.

If we played a 4231 with a #10 role, I might change my mind. But even when we play 4231, it's w/o a #10 with a 3 man midfield. But then I'd remember we have Mata and Mikhi already, along with a developmental Perieria.

I just don't see a spot for James at United and he won't be a player satisfied with warming the bench with 2018 WC closing in and the Colombian manager already making noises that James needs to play reguarly to earn a spot at next summer's tournament.

So Radja Nainggolan is angling for a new contract with his current club?
I think he needs to mention that the chance of him moving is 7/10.
And if that doesn't work, he can call Griezemann, who is a master of "getting a new bumper contract with his current/preferred club". I'm sure Antoinne G has a few more tricks up his sleeve.

Its funny that, if LVG was here another year I am pretty sure he would have gone after Strootman. Im amazed he isnt in in the PL yet

That ESPN guy probably has some interview/pics of Lukaku. Don't forget, ESPN have already done one interview with him.

I think he'd really make that Everton team very strong. If any of the top 6 slip up I could see Everton taking a spot and getting 6th or maybe even 5th. I've a feeling Wayne will actually do well for them too. He won't match Lukaku's goals but I could see him getting around 15 goals. The rest of their team is greatly improved on last season with their signings. Coleman will be a big loss for start of season though and they have a tough opening set of fixtures. Still, this would probably be their starting lineup when everyone is fit:

Pickford

Coleman Keane Williams Baines

Gueye Schneiderlin

Barkley Sigurdsson Ramirez

Rooney

Bench: Stekelenburg, Holgate, Funes Mori, Klaassen, Davies, Bolasie, Mirallas

EDIT: Forgot Schneiderlin first time. Also, Giroud would be a great buy if they were to get him.

I seriously doubt Rooney will be anywhere near the starting line up is everyone was fit. Schneiderlin, Bolasie, Mirallas, Lookman, Davies have more to offer.

Edit: Seen your edit

You're crazy mate. He'll start every game he's fit for.

Fair play to Everton. If a team like them are to ever step it up to the next level, this is the sort of thing they need to do. It could of course backfire, but we will see.

No way will Klaassen be on the bench. I also think Koeman may continue with the 4321 formation he played at the back end of last season.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Williams Baines
Gueye Schneiderlin Klaassen
Rooney Sigurdsson
Ramirez

If we ever did pull the trigger on Coleman, 5 of those players could have been starters for us over the last two season (per non Baines balls up)
