Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

He's really out of favor for them these days, their 4th choice CB. Even playing RB and DM in the few games he's started.

Behind Godin, Savic and Lucas Hernandez.

Makes me think the hype on him a while ago was premature.
I love the kid and have no doubt he will be immense but he is not what we need IMO. We need a ball-playing CB.

I don't think so. In fact I think it was the complete opposite and he kept (erroneously) claiming that Madrid were back in for him which pissed everyone off no end. The one exception of course being @ehsanul, who response to every negative Tancredi tweet, was a major hard-on!

I don't suppose it would be too hard to look back and check. I just can't be to bothered right now! :)
He was going on about Pogba to Utd all summer. Although he was insisting on the price being 145 mill euros hehe.

This guy broke team news on a few occasions this season. Must have a source at the club.
Yeah he definitely has connections. I've been following him on twitter for a while and like I said, I've never seen him lie about transfers. I also searched him on twitter and a lot of other people seem to think he's credible. Thought it was worth posting.

Zorc denies any agreement for Aubameyang: "We didn't receive any official offer."

Why do you need to hold the ball , The attacking dynamics change pretty much with movement and pace infront 3 and the passing range of pogba and Fabinho if we get him. There is going to be more direct counter attacking dynamics instead of holding the ball and bringing others into play. Griezman fairly drops deep and builds up from there via his skills. Fabinho is a better direct passer than herrera and fellani so movement up front will really be deadly in breaking defenses. Also Belotti has a 100 m euros release clause himself.

A better build up brings more goals and more team goals than a better striker up front and for that better build up we need better wingers with proper attacking balance for better penetration which has been missing this season due to putting square pegs in round holes which is more a need than an out and out 9 with unbalanced attacking build up.

In defense too a more established quality cb is a must than a bunch of fillers.

I know how different attacking systems work, Jose is not going to field a 19 year old that can't hold the ball up as his #9, his teams build off the focal point, they always have, he wont change to what you are describing with 3 lightweights, one of whom is a kid, he likes physical strikers, he's not going to suddenly change to this hipster style, did you not see his comments about Poets?

We had the 3rd best defense in the league last season, to win the CL we'd need a top addition but we can challenge for the league with what we have.

This guy has 10k followers so I honestly think he's the most reliable source I've seen all day.......

Supposed the Bakayoko stuff is true, You would have to think Matic is a goner. No room for Bakayoko, Matic and Kante.

Why ? They don't have any bench players for Kante and Matic. They're going to play on 4 competitions next season including CL. Surely they'll love to have more depth in the squad. They can't play with the same 11 all the season as this one.

A 9 and giezman would blow our entire budget, we wont have left for the likes of cb's and wings.
Has there been any mention of any budget constraints?? I've read posts here like we don't have endless money like City and so on. Where is this talk coming from??

How about recalling one of their 500 loan players?

Would not durptise me if morata was above greizmann as a priority. I want greizmann but strugfle to see a system where both him and pogba are fully utilised. Greizmann isn't a number 9 and pogba struggles in a 2.

Morata can play up top alone so that would allow pogba to play in a midfield 3.
I think a 9 has to be the primary focus, Jose's system relies heavily on the striker holding up the ball. No point in Griezmann without securing a striker first.
