Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I can only see Perisic being pursued as a WB of sorts. Don't get the fixation otherwise, to the degree where we seem to be considering nobody else, and are going as high as £40m. Perisič has probably been a £25m player at best during his career, which didn't start yesterday.

If the plan is to just replace Martial with him, then I'd be greatly disappointed. Martial has far greater potential, and is already better in my opinion anyway. If he's to be marginalised, at least let it be for real top drawer.

I actually like Perisič as a player in general, he's definitely more good than he is bad. He's just not good enough, or even close to being, to be signed as a big money starting wide player.

That's a terrible hairstyle he has there.

Need to sort out a lot of offield issues but clearly a promising fullback

That's a bargain for a player of Aurier's ability. If someone can sort his mentality out, they'd be getting one of the best RB's around for pittance.

Pretty sad that we (me included) are happy to see a player with Rooney's history leave. Things have really changed.
yes its in stark contrast to players like Giggs, Scholes, Rio, Evra etc who all left on a reasonable high, still playing at a high level

Rooney sadly has been awful for 2 seasons - average the 2 years before that and all whilst commanding a huge wage and getting a guaranteed starting spot under Moyes and Van Gaal

He will be remembered fondly once he goes

Yeah. I think Danilo is their first choice but with the non-EU rules and Juve's interest in a certain Bayern winger, it'd probably make more sense to sign Aurier and use that non-EU slot to try and sign Douglas Costa.

The €25m are quoted from Di Marzio, so as everything ever said by him about PSG it's most likely BS.

Based on??

52 million for Lacazette and a free transfer so far, with likely departures of Sanchez, Bellerin and possibly Ozil.

Oh and wenger for 2 more years. Yay for Arsenal.....

Kolasinac is a good signing for them, as is Lacazette. Sanchez. Bellerin and Ozil haven't left yet, hence why I said "so far". Their decisions can obviously change everything.

You probably haven't watched closely enough most of our last games since Zlatan's injury, when Rashford or Martial as strikers were closely followed by another attacking player.
"Another attacking player" would be obvious in a 4-2-3-1. That's the #10. Griezmann has played that position and well. Morata isn't a #10, at least not from what I've seen of him.

Deleted ITK accounts posts. Also that Rafael Hernandez dude isn't a journalist or something. Don't post his tweets too.

People will be threadbanned from now on if they don't go by the the rules of this thread.

But Aurier isn't European.

Nah, they dropped interest in Douglas Costa, might be signing bernardeschi.

They're just skint and Madrid are asking for €25/30M for Danilo, too much for them

Which is funny to me. Especially with Leonardo working for sky italy

But Aurier isn't European.
He's french

Btw, people have the oddest opinions on here

Perisic needs to now kick up one hell of a fuss if he wants to come.

Aurier is an Ivory Coast international.

The fans wouldn't have an issue with him if he was adding any value to the squad. He's on too much money, doesn't play and from recent photos isn't even fit. I saw him in Carrick's testimonial against retired players. He mis-hit every pass and generally fell over after any pressure on him.

Didn't go as was on holiday but somebody who did said to me both him and Terry looked well off the pace even in a game played at walking speed!!

And holds a French passport.

I'm not sure he does, does he? Wasn't he rejected entry to the UK last year? I know they can do that for EU passport holders too but I think they hardly ever do.

He was rejected entry due to a pending criminal conviction if I remember correctly

With mourinho making bit of a fuss it seems. Inevitable. We end up paying 45-50 million for. Perisic and 60-70 million for Morata.

Crazy fees both would be. Though if we end up paying them. Mourinho would have no excuses and would be expected To deliver either pl or cl.
