Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

The media really do seem to have it in for Woodward, you don't see any over clubs CEO's being made into such a figure of public ridicule and hatred the way he constantly is.

By the end of every summer apart from the initial Moyes one, nearly every United fan has been impressed with he's how well he's done, with the players he's brought in and the timing he's got them (it's not really his issue that most of the players didn't perform up to expectation in the end). But by the next summer, the media whip up another storm of articles claiming how useless he is and suddenly everyone hates him again and wants him sacked. It's strange
The worst thing is how utterly gullible some of our fans are with regards to most of this stories.

red cafe is going mental over not signing Pepe?

Might be about the meltdown on here a few days back when the official PSG twitter replied to an "Announce Pepe and Fabinho" tweet with a smily face

I feel we aren't even trying Mbappé because of that, he doesn't fancy us and Mourinho won't put up with that.

I'd put that more at Mbappe is a kid who has had one good season and could easily fall end up a disaster. A 150mil euro disaster.

I wonder if PSG fans are going mental like Redcafe lool
We have our own doom mongers but even if we've not signed anyone yet it's not worse than at the start of the window.

Doesn't matter if you think he's better or not he's as a player his skill set is completely more suited to Arsenal. Giroud is a good player but he doesn't have the ability to run behind the last defender and his movement is also poor. Lacazette is quality at both these things and on top of that is a clinical finisher. The question is whether he can make the step up to the Premier League but it's completely understandable as to why they are making that risk. Personally I think he's the best they could have got in the market - let's not forget that if Athleti weren't having their transfer ban he'd be a Madrid player.

I agree with your analysis. Only thing is that Giroud actually gives Arsenal an option. A different way of approaching a game. He is a more direct player that is dangerous in the air. I think he scored Arsenal some vital points last season with his head. If I were Wenger, I would keep him.

The bigotry on this forum is unreal. I've spent the last few days coming across and replying to people making gross caricatures and stereotypes of Africans.

There is nothing more I can do than reporting this and if that doesn't work to stay away.

Too often on here, when race is mentioned or implied, there is always a sense of portraying Africans (or people of African descent) in a negative light.

Yeah, including calling a guy a dumbshit and telling him he knows feck all about Africa despite him being born and bred South African.

Can't post tweets but I read on football italia that Aurier is negotiating with Juventus and he would be available for £20m. We should be all over him for that price.

We should be signing Bernadeschi, who is better than Ivan.

Surely there has to be better than this on the market he's good but not world class besides Inter are complete ar#eholes player isn't even worth £39 million but we are willing to pay over the odds and close to that 44 million valuation, the player has told them he wants to go and yet they're still being utter ar#sholes.

This. You need options and giroud would be very hard to replace, especially in this market. I'd defo keep him around.

Footballitalia is one bs source but if any of this is true no wonder Ed is having troubles with the deals. I really can't believe they are refusing so much money.

Di Marzio is also reporting the failed bid.

Tbf Custis is quite reliable with United news, also if Rooney doesn't leave for everton this week he's gonna look like a right schmuck!
We'll see. I'm not too hopeful.

Edit: just seem Custis tweet. He's put his balls right on the line hasn't he.

Anybody else getting tired of the 'Is there nobody else?' posts about Perisic?
Is there anybody else Jose wants over him?
No. The answer is no.

If Jose really wants him just pay the money. What is the point of stalling over £4m. I would rather get him in and join the squad for the pre season tour. It makes a massive difference to get the player settled

It is particularly frustrating Inter are playing hardball when the Italian teams seem to help each other out with dodgy loans deals all the time.

I think the issue is they want something close to £10 million more than our last offer mate
