Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Can't decide what is more annoying this window - the DonnaRumma saga or Di Marzio live tweeting everytime Cahanoglu gets into a car or goes to a restaurant.

That Cahanoglu guy is getting a bit overrated, he's good but not like that, btw I couldn't write his name had to copy it from your post.

"Alexis Sánchez does not move from Arsenal." - Juan_Luis16 has a impeccable record when it comes to showbiz news in Chile, apparently. :wenger:

It will hurt Arsenal fans about the same when he eventually joins City on a free transfer next year.

30 million for a centre-back from Burnley....feckING Burnley!!

I would love to see English football crumble after these stupid price tags that club can hold teams to random now...It's killing the game
Yeah it would be great to see English football crumble :wenger:

It would have to significantly improve for any decrease to be considered crumbling.

How is it killing the game? Clubs can afford it. It's basically just football's money circulating around football. If anything it shows the game is thriving.

Whys it matter he came from Burnley fecking Burnley? He's worth whatever a club is willing to pay

Nah not really. Stay, have a good season & he can go where he wants next year. CL qualification would mean the guts of any transfer fee received this summer anyway, the club needs to stop bending over whenever a rival comes after their better players.

Apologies, I didn't realize the tweet was in spanish because chrome had automatically translated it.

"Alexis Sánchez does not move Arsenal."
It still doesn't make sense. Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move Arsenal?

Very interesting this. I thought Pelligrini was replacement and improvement over Paredes, but now they also sign Gonalons who is a good midfielder himself.

They have - Gonalons, Strootman , De rossi, Perotti, Gerson, Florenzi, Pelligrini and Radja.

I think an exit maybe on the cards here.

We have to be in for Nainggolan now, although I'm not sure if he'll choose us over Chelsea. How was Strootman last season?

I know that it's peanuts in today's market, but still - not bad!

We've basically sold a 21 year old youth, who played one first-team game, for £10m. Puts a far better spin on the criticism we were receiving at the prospect of paying to bring him back.

How? Football has gotten worse and worse in the last few years and English football has been absolutely dire for nearly 10 years now. Look at English teams in the Champions League against teams who spend absolutely peanuts compared to English clubs and time and time again the likes of City, Chelsea, Arsenal have been embarrassing with the resources they have. More money then brains these clubs have and we are in the same boat.

We should be competing with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern etc in the Champions League, year in, year out but are scouts are absolutely dreadful and we spend money on shite instead of trying to get the big names to win trophies and put us back to the top of European Football.

Koeman and Everton doing very well here. Not sure I can see them breaking through their ceiling of 7th when everyone above them should improve considerably as well.

Still, Everton will line up next season with quite a few players that wouldn't look out of place in one of the big sides. They'll be a very tough outting for everyone.

No, Real Madrid and Barcelona dominate the CL these days due to super players like Messi and Ronaldo.

The English teams will be back again, football goes in cycles.

This isn't the thread for this discussion though.

Because TV isn't putting £1b into a dying product.

As for the rest of your post I don't think that's relevant to your claim.

Wish Everton would stop wasting their Rooney funds on decent players. Buy the big turd instead!

Everton are playing this transfer window very astutely. Spending the money first and ensuring they get their targets in before Lukaku is sold. If it was the other way round, clubs would know they have circa £100 million to blow and they'd probably have more difficulty acquiring their transfer targets.

Can we ban this guy? He tweets absolute bloody nonsense. Doubt he knows anyone even remotely link to United and even after going for a 'quiet one' with his mate, he basically thinks it's bullshit and feels it'll be delayed.

Nothing tweet. Go away Shrager.

United sign Aliou Traore(16) who was at PSG . One to watch out for by all reports.

He really isn't that good. Set piece expert alright but anytime I've seen him play, I've been very underwhelmed.

How good is Keita and what sort of player can he be compared to? Keep seeing his name spammed all over Twitter about Liverpool being obsessed with him.

Killing the game. Didn't United spend £30m on a CB about 15 years ago when no other club could even dream of it? Clubs can compete and all of a sudden it's unfair. It's great for the game that 20 clubs can spend £30m, instead of just one. Good try though.
