Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

How good is Keita and what sort of player can he be compared to? Keep seeing his name spammed all over Twitter about Liverpool being obsessed with him.
Size of kante drive of Pogba, would be gutted if he was let go to liverpool. Next summer his clause is 48 million. I think he will stay for one year, but Money talks, looks like liverpool do have money this year. It will be a massive upgrade on their midfield.

He is very good. Similar to Kante but better offensively and technically. He is still very young, has huge potential. It would be a master transfer from Liverpool, he is far too good for them. He would have a Suarez style of impact in their central midfield, he is miles better than everyone they have there.

I thought Leipzig didn't need the money? Why would they sell?

Weird that Liverpool would be the only club in for him if he's as good as people say (I don't doubt he is very good).
I think Klopp has been very active behind the scenes and with champions league money can afford players they simply could not last year. I think they can and will spend a lot of money.

Killing the game. Didn't United spend £30m on a CB about 15 years ago when no other club could even dream of it? Clubs can compete and all of a sudden it's unfair. It's great for the game that 20 clubs can spend £30m, instead of just one. Good try though.
That's not his point at all.

He isn't saying he is worried about Everton's spending but rather the absurd prices in the market.

You have gone on some rant based on some preconceived notions which has little do with the quoted post.

They dont, but the player could want a move. He wont stay there long it seems. They slapped a 70m price tag on him going by more reliable papers.

Yeah, he is tapping up players and especially lurks in the Bundesliga and with money to spend and CL he goes for the bigger talents there this summer

How? Football has gotten worse and worse in the last few years and English football has been absolutely dire for nearly 10 years now. Look at English teams in the Champions League against teams who spend absolutely peanuts compared to English clubs and time and time again the likes of City, Chelsea, Arsenal have been embarrassing with the resources they have. More money then brains these clubs have and we are in the same boat.

We should be competing with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern etc in the Champions League, year in, year out but are scouts are absolutely dreadful and we spend money on shite instead of trying to get the big names to win trophies and put us back to the top of European Football.

Well said!

Sad isn't it that those teams in addition to buying players with ability from their leagues, develop proper players from their youth teams. In contrast their English counterparts can't boast of many players with the same potential as their rivals.

Hmm. If he's this good it's pretty surprising that it's just Liverpool that are after him like the poster above says.

Why aren't much better clubs all over him?

Does this guy know anyone? Why is he regularly posted here. I do actually agree with him that Morata will be done this week but that's an educated guess.

To fair to him he has a lot of credible journalists as followers on twitter.

He costs 70m apparently. Which club would spend that money on a midfielder in the top leagues?

Hernandez is 29, just had a poor season and would take minutes away from Rashford. Other than sentiment, I'm not seeing a great argument for bringing him back.
As a poacher subbed in later in games he would be a good option.

Yourselves? Arsenal could use an upgrade on Ramsey and Coquelin.

We spend our money on Pogba last summer and we are after an anchor, not a box to box player. Also we wouldnt spend 70m on him when we need to buy a striker and winger for a lot of money.

I dont see Arsenal spending that money either on one player and they are also not linked with a central midfielder so far. The only club needing one more than any other club is Liverpool and they are desperate. Klopp obvioulsy knows the league inside out and thinks he is worth it. He is a young player and has one Bundesliga season behind him, so i can see why not more clubs would spend 70m on him

Yeah I got that.

£30m for a defender, absurdity.

As if someone close to Morata would talk to this complete no mark :)

But it's pretty easy to say a very very well publicised transfer saga is happening "soon", as if it doesn't, you can blame some unforeseen hold up, or change of plan.

How much will Liverpool get once they eventually crash out of the group stages?

Utd have just as many youth team products in their squad as Bayern do. They just get the pick of every other German team as well, which is a massive advantage.

Which brings us back around to the point that he left us because he did not want to be a super sub/bench warmer, he wanted to start.
And he went and did it, in minor teams. Maybe he fancies a comeback. If not him, I definitely think we need an extra and different striker, besides Morata.

When italian clubs quote 100 m euros for belotti or 150 m euros for dybala or 94 for a fatty higuain than they dont remember the prices thrown around?

Wait, early on wasn't he one of Jose's 4 targets and we were going to sign him? What happened to that? Guess the people pushing that story must have had it wrong?
It was keane if not lindelof.

But he did and it is silly to imagine he would want to come back and sit on the bench behind Rashford and most likely Morata.
He's older, might be aware of his body changing, might want a final great contract, might want to deliver it to Mourinho, etc., etc. I was stating there could be worse options for the needed, in my view, older poacher.

He was the "English option" for the defender target. If we didn't get Lindelof we might have got him.

I wonder whether we were helping to push his value up knowing we were going to get 25% of the fee.
