Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Maybe he can be a stop gap? On a free, has played with Jose. I think he had a good last season if I'm not wrong? (@Ecstatic )maybe him and matic could work. Of course age is an issue.

I'm a big fan of Prime Motta but these rumours are strange because I've read yesterday Motta and PSG are close to find an agreement.

sign two players. I can only hope we've moved on to another midfield target. Essentially, castles is arguing the only way we get matic is if all of chelsea's transfer dealings work out. If it doesn't conte will veto the move. There's no way woodward is throwing everything into the matic basket if a deal is that fragile.

You're talking about the man who, in arguably the most important transfer window for the club in the last 20 years, bought only one player, Marouane Fellaini, on the last day of the window and for 4 million pounds more than his release clause.

Friday’s edition of L’Equipe covers renewed PSG interest in Fabinho, and efforts to sign the player. But even they don’t sound too sure, using the Daily Record to back them up.

From the French side of the information, L’Equipe report Monaco haven’t received any offers from PSG. Of all the clubs to sell Fabinho to, PSG would surely be the last which Monaco would pick, but even so, it’s stated a fee would be ‘nearly €50m’.

That further underlines a €50m Manchester United offer would almost certaintly have been accepted, especially given it was earlier in the window.

So L'equipe are being very clickbaity. There is nothing really added to their article and they are using Castles to back them up.

What about Matuidi? I read that he has only 1 year left on the contract.

Juve seems to be interested in acquiring him and PSG will let him go IMO.

Market value probably 15-20m given his age (30)

i am so jealous to City, they get rid of shit players relentlessly and buying brilliant players exactly they need. What is wrong with us? We have already locked with the squad full of mediocre players with no exciting targets at all.
Can people not think before they write? Go back just a year and who made the most "exciting" signings?

That promise was a lot more substantial under Fergie. Unless he is incredibly impressed by the League and Europa Cup.

We signed Mkhitaryan, Zlatan and Pogba without CL because of Mourinho. Maybe there's a small chance Sanchez could agree to come.

Are you seriously saying Sanchez would be impressed and would want to come to United because we won the Europa League even though he has won the FA Cup with Arsenal?

Look, I'd gladly take this guy as a budget squad option to replace the likes of Lingard mate. But for €50 fecking million? No chance.

I just think that we need to be setting our standards higher that's all. We need to be adding bonafide match winners to our first 11 not a steady Eddie.

Nobody is worth 50M but he is a good player

I don't think he'd come to us over city. But he'd certainly prefer go play under a manager who has a recent pedigree for winning silverware than Arsene Wenger. Plus he'd earn more.

I think Ed will lose it eventually and start overpaying for all our targets to secure them. He has showed before he has no problem in overspending anyway. I'm waiting for him to lose his mind and do it this summer.

Thing is when Madrid spend big which they do often it's never called overspending. It makes no sense to miss out on the players you want especially when the money is not an issue/ is there

Another player we sold for peanuts.
I don't think anyone expected Josh King to actually turn out to be a decent PL player. Heck, it might just be an Ighalo-type purple patch. He scored like 15 goals in his last 17 matches this season.

We can no longer run a charity buisness from our academy prospects, Its time united have to get a grip of the incomming and outgoing transfer buisness.

We are loosing too much money and having to pay too much for the players we buy. We have to be proactive and effecient. Chelsea are selling nathan atke for 20 m after 2 season loan and we loose our academy prospects for peanuts who are fetching 10 times the fee we sold them for after 2- 3 years.

Doing the same thing again we have just sold josh harrop to preston who may excell in few years.

Most of their big money signings have proven to be hits though but even if they flop Madrid almost always recoup what they paid.

To be fair, our out-goings are getting better in this regard. Keane - whilst he was indeed sold for peanuts - had a 25% sell-on clause attached. We supposedly have a gentlemans agreement to re-sign Depay (though he wasn't exactly an academy prospect), we look to be getting around £10m for Januzaj etc...

Slowly but surely we are getting there.

You're a clubs football fan. No need to worry about finances. Club finances are owners' problems.
