Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

To be fair, our out-goings are getting better in this regard. Keane - whilst he was indeed sold for peanuts - had a 25% sell-on clause attached. We supposedly have a gentlemans agreement to re-sign Depay (though he wasn't exactly an academy prospect), we look to be getting around £10m for Januzaj etc...

Slowly but surely we are getting there.

Well we just allowed josh harrop to a lower league team preston without loaning him before.

His contract expired. He hadn't been that good previously. If he succeeds, it'll be against the grain, just like King.

So... 24 hours ago, Inter NEEDED to sell us Perisic to meet FFP. Now, they've magically met that and they're going to buy Nainggolan who Roma NEED to sell to meet FFP?!

What the feck is going on.

What a nonsense story. When will they sell him, today?
Inter only had to show 30m euros of earnings, I believe, which they've already done. Maybe ask @giorno for clarity on the matter.

I'm not entirely sure when Roma suddenly got into hot water with FFP though.

With you. Especially because he will put some more concerns, suspicions, worries before he makes a love letter to Madrid... I think even Madrid fans don't pay attention.

"Perez to call for crisis talks as Ronaldo is appalled that his training top had a thread missing at the seam and has made it known that he has made an irreversible decision to leave. Manchester United laundry team are on alert and are assessing the situation but are weary as they have been stiched up before."

You're a clubs football fan. No need to worry about finances. Club finances are owners' problems.

Well years of under investement in the squad where united kept bidding lower fee only for other clubs to hijack the move is one of the major reason of united finding themselves under in situation after the fergie retirement. While we are not underinvesting now but getting the edge over others is a must in this cut throat market and position we are finding ourselves in. And doing good buisness does no harm .

We can no longer run a charity buisness from our academy prospects, Its time united have to get a grip of the incomming and outgoing transfer buisness.

We are loosing too much money and having to pay too much for the players we buy. We have to be proactive and effecient. Chelsea are selling nathan atke for 20 m after 2 season loan and we loose our academy prospects for peanuts who are fetching 10 times the fee we sold them for after 2- 3 years.

Doing the same thing again we have just sold josh harrop to preston who may excell in few years.

Sell-on clauses are the way forward. Even then, we still wouldn't have really benefited much from King, as we didn't sell him directly to Bournemouth. We sold him to Blackburn, and any cut we would have gotten is when they sold him, for far less.

For what it's worth, I always rated him in our academy. He actually reminded me of Brazilian Ronaldo! He had a spell where he scored loads of goals, was so fast, used to love a step over too. Injuries robbed him of a real shot though.

Thing is when Madrid spend big which they do often it's never called overspending. It makes no sense to miss out on the players you want especially when the money is not an issue/ is there

I'll have no problem tbh. If this is the only way to secure our targets then be it, as long as our budget is sufficient and that won't affect other transfers.

I don't think he'd come to us over city. But he'd certainly prefer go play under a manager who has a recent pedigree for winning silverware than Arsene Wenger. Plus he'd earn more.

Yeah I think he would choose us over Liverpool. I don't think Arsenal would even allow him to go to us.

Yeah sure, sell your best player to one of your domestic rivals without any sort of huge pressure :wenger: Must be the dumbest shit i have read so far this summer

I am sure they could sell another player or Manolas to another club if they need to

These transfers happen a lot in Serie A. It's normal there for the players to switch between big clubs all the time unlike EPL.

This summer window is so slow. Barely any real movement going on. Hopefully it picks up in July.

Italian teams often sell great players to each other.

When did that happen the last time? I mean Juve are stockpiling the top players, and i understand a player getting sold to them, but from Roma to Inter at this current moment? Sounds a bit far fetched and the reason is more hilarious. Unless Inter come with a huge offer and Nainggolan doesnt want to extend, sure, but for FFP? Nainggolan will have Chelsea and United right at him, no need to sell to Inter or go there at this point in time.

Salah from Firontena to Roma last example in my head. Even Roma's manager has no problem switching to Inter for unknown reason.

Sanchez was asked about his next move while sitting next to team-mate Claudio Bravo.

  • Q. "Will you be a teammate of Claudio Bravo at Manchester City next season?
  • A: "[laughs]. Good question! Right now I'm focused on the Confederations Cup. When this is finished I will see if I stay or if I go. I don't know."
  • Q: "Is it clear in your mind, or have you not decided?"
  • A: "Yes it's clear but I can't tell you [laughing]".

Blimey City's attacking players next year

Maybe we can get Harrop back on loan...

If its clear in his mind, I hope Arsenal tell him to get stuffed and don't sell him to City.

Seems he learned how to replay to questions from Wenger.

Fiorentina sold nobody. Salah wasn't theirs. They actually went to the CAS to try to force him to either stay with them(as they an agreement to that effect) or force him to sit out 1 year or something

The whole thing was very stupid and nasty, Salah is very much reviled in Florence

as for Roma's, manager, why would he have a problem going to inter?

If Arsenal have any ambition at all they should refuse to sell their best player to a rival. Even Spurs refused to sell Bale to us despite our offer being higher (not that he would have chose us anyway, but the point stands) I think sanchez going to city would send their fans over the edge.
