Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

i am so jealous to City, they get rid of shit players relentlessly and buying brilliant players exactly they need. What is wrong with us? We have already locked with the squad full of mediocre players with no exciting targets at all.

Can't argue with your nickname.

The PSG is accelerating to recruit Fabinho this summer. To conclude this operation, it could take nearly 50M € ow.ly/ZCDP30dapaN

Not this again.

Need we remind you the signings that City made last Summer and how those fared out:

Stones: Calamity Stones at 50 mil for a CB coming off a terrible season at Everton, who followed that with another poor season at City.

Nolito : So bad, he got 6 months and was barely seen from again

Gundogan: Crock. Was a crock before he was signed. Unsuprisingly a crock after he arrived at City.

Bravo : The best paid spectator in football

In fact one of the reasons that City are buying a player in a position they need(Goalkeeper) is that the one they signed just last year was so bad he needed replacing just a year into his arrival.

Some of the comments are genuinely annoying with people just whining like a toy crying for their toy. Very few of the big clubs have made any big moves yet. It's not just United.

You missed Sane and Jesus. :(

The biggest reason we are being linked with more players is quite simply because so many of our contracts for the average players come to a finish. Without that we'd still be struggling to sell them and no room for new signings.

Fullbacks and a GK was always going to happen coming in to the summer. B.Silva is just a bonus, and Sanchez would probably make it unfair.

For completeness sane and jesus are obviously really good players, signed last summer.

But i don't get that post, for all citys apparent great signings, we've won 3 competitions in 2 seasons. Did they win anything?!

Those were very good signings, but I was highlighting those that werent.

I think the two signings you have made this season look good too, but the constant whining on here is become tiring. All clubs make mistakes, and the poster above is whining about players we have not even signed, but rather are linked to by the media.

City also need to sign Midfielders btw, especially with Toure growing old and Gundogan ravaged by injuries.

The highlighted part is also true. City have only been able to get rid of most of those players because they released them at the end of their contracts. Its harder to get rid of a player with a contract though. See Nasri

Seems very clear that we're waiting for Chelsea to sign someone and then bidding for Matic :nervous:
sign two players. I can only hope we've moved on to another midfield target. Essentially, castles is arguing the only way we get matic is if all of chelsea's transfer dealings work out. If it doesn't conte will veto the move. There's no way woodward is throwing everything into the matic basket if a deal is that fragile.

Who would plan B be though? If Fabinho signs for PSG then who's out there? Nainggolan isn't leaving, Dier isn't good enough and would cost a fortune.....

I think Ed will lose it eventually and start overpaying for all our targets to secure them. He has showed before he has no problem in overspending anyway. I'm waiting for him to lose his mind and do it this summer.

your guess is as good as mine. Right now i'm just hoping we get Morata done because our midfield search migh drag well into july, even after the tour if castles is correct.

Maybe he can be a stop gap? On a free, has played with Jose. I think he had a good last season if I'm not wrong? (@Ecstatic )maybe him and matic could work. Of course age is an issue.
