Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Chelsea signed 0, Spurs 0, Liverpool Salah, Arsenal Kolasinac. Only City did more so far.

We also need to invest more and earlier than the teams in front of us. Not a popular opinion, but if we want to win the league, we need to do better in the transfer market than so far and not look what teams above us do or dont do.

Hope FFP hit them with CL disqualification this time around because there's no way in he'll they haven't breached it if they spend that much this summer.

They will only sign some dodgy sponsorship with a company associated to Ethiad giving them £50m yearly for the right to sponsor their socks and jobs a good'un.

Chelsea won the league and everyone else finished above us, we need reinforcments more than they do. Obviously its still quite early and we'll probably make at least 1-2 signings before jetting off to the US but I hope every bit of transfer business is concluded before take off

Faulty logic really. That may speak to the how much improvement each team may need and they all need improvement, but it does not have anything to do with when a player is signed. You don't get bonus points for announcing a signing in a week after the season is over. Players who have signed late have done quite well for a number of clubs, the date a player signs really has little to do with how much he ends up helping his club over the course of not just the season you sign him, but his entire time with you.

It is strange how quiet it's been over the past week. I don't think it is a good or a bad thing.

See, my guess is that when the media have no idea what is happening, they have to just assume that nothing is happening. So I think that's why we are seeing grim articles about how United are struggling, it's really just because they have to take that stance because they have no news.

I think it'll be fine. Some clubs playing hardball, some haggling over fees, but we'll make the signings Jose wants I'm sure.

After years of posts about 'being embarrassed' that the media knew all our transfer targets and seemingly every other minute detail from inside the club, I find it hilarious that now the leaks have dried up there's mass panic that the papers seemingly don't know who to link us with, so link us with everyone.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the summer. We've got this.

Is it just me or this transfer window quieter than any others before it?

No ones bought anyone from the top teams in europe apart from Citys splash on the two

I've got a feeling the whole of Europe are trying to bleed the English clubs dry with regards to fees, most are scoffing at the prices.

That, and I think the prospect of CL is less attractive because chances are Real or Barca will win.

I think you'll find that their Middle East based sponsors (nothing to do with their owner of course) will magically become even more generous!

Bargain if true.
Was god awful in the final, do not rate him yet. Maybe in a few years.

Needed to buy an expensive keeper as last years expensive one was so shit
He didn't do half bad last night.

Actually they cant do that, its against the rules.

Not everyone shares your scouting report

Look, I'd gladly take this guy as a budget squad option to replace the likes of Lingard mate. But for €50 fecking million? No chance.

I just think that we need to be setting our standards higher that's all. We need to be adding bonafide match winners to our first 11 not a steady Eddie.
