Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Cheeky bid from United please?? Would take him over Morata any day of the week!

Funny how little Aguero seems to have been appreciated, never winning awards in the premiership and now Guardiola seems to be looking at new strikers. e has been one of the best players and for me the best striker in our league for several years, especially considering the amount of injuries he has had breaking up his momentum at times.

They will be fine. They only have PSG to worry about and they are excellent when it comes to recruitment.

Don't think they'll be able to field an 11 if the summer carries on like it is

If the players being mooted to leave bugger off, think they'll struggle. They may come back season after next. But if theylose all those players who did so well for them last season, I can't see how they would get instant replacements. That being said, PSG aren't without their issues either!

He does seem to very much split opinion, but he is just a teenager still, that is what surprises me with all the negativity. Be a good 2/3 years before we find out if he is nearer Davids or nearer Anderson. Id be surprised if Mourinho isnt in for him though with what he said last summer and I just think tactically Sanches would fit with what Mourinho wants. Tielmans reminds me so much of a young Seedorf, if he goes on to be half the player that fee will look small. Though I have heard of him as we were linked last year, first I have seen of Neves is the U21 this summer.
Believe, I'm a sucker for youth in a team. Last game of the season was the best game for me. But I just find it hard to buy into Sanches. He has the same agent as Mourinho so I would not be surprised if there is something in it. He's had a horrible time at Bayern but their willingness to get rid at a cut price so quick should not be overlooked. These guys are usually efficient when it comes to transfers. On the other hand, I am confident that Neves will make a big move in a year.

They've already completed deals for some of the most promising footballers in positions where they are likely to lose players. No one expected them to win the league at the start of last season, so one season off won't hurt them. Quote me on this, they will sell players for massive money again next window after this. What we need to do is hire the wizard behind their dealings.

Yes the amount of cm they seem to be signing and apparent willingness for him to leave could be telling. Still is just rumours now, I have read several of a long loan deal so they may not have given up on him. Could it be not settling, manager doesnt like him or something else though. Well its about time we had a really successful youngster as bar Rashford our youngsters bought through like Morrison and Januzaj have been dissapointing, as have largely so far the likes of Depay, Shaw and Martial bought in. I see the likes of Dembele and Mor who look really talented last year going to Dortmund, Tielmans this year going to Monaco and think we are missing out on massive and well priced talents. I would love us to sign a relative unknown with bags of talent, there still seem to be plenty about even if massive risks. The little guy that came on against England for Venezuela in the U19s for example (only one game granted and an international youth game at that), looked to have phenomenal ability to me, I want us to sign an 18/19 year old like this, like a Martial signing, but one that within a year or two becomes our Dembele, our Dybala etc. I do hope we make one type of signing like that this summer but I dont think we will

Wing back? That's a bit of a comedown. I'd rather he be used as a DM, but then there were hints he'd rather play RB.

In the actual article it seems as though Juve were planning on using him as a wing back not us

Agree! He's by far my favourite non-United player...very under-appreciated but absolute class. Shame he's wasted at City. You should see the stick he gets on Bluemoon! Then again we were just as bad with Ibra.

Can't see him moving from City to a direct rival in the same city in a direct move between both clubs. Just can't imagine it at all.
And he would cost us more, in which case we would be all over Lacazette. We aren't, it's not what Mourinho is looking for.

We already have two. Demetri Mitchel (20) and Angel Gomez (16). If those two kids don't become world class soon, we have a problem. We've also snatched one of Spain's brightest young prospects, Anau Puigmal from Espanyol. He will become a too class midfielder, no doubt.

May I ask what part you disagree with?
Or do you disagree with both my statements?
People are already claiming Mbappe is the next big star. He has had one good season. I bet he won't live up to the expectations once he leaves Monaco. Whether this season or any time in the future.
And if you disagree with the second part, I wouldn't think you are being serious that an 18 year old commands a price of 135m€. An 18 year old who has had one decent season.

I have never been more sure of a kid's prospect than Mbappe. He is the real deal. All the top clubs are not willing to break bank for him for nothing. So easy to see what a big talent he is. Unless he is unlucky in terms of injuries or ending up in a club that is a bad fit for him, Mbappe will become a big star.

SIgn him up

Di Marzio says we've made an offer for Fabinho

For those wondering why Di marzio and italy journo's got the scoop on this, Juve leak like a crazy. Just have a look at the pogba saga, we basically got hourly updates.

No doubt someone from juve told them the club backed out because of well advanced talks between MUFC and Fabinho, and Di Marzio has investigated from that point onwards.

DiMarzio isn't as exclusive to Italian football as this forum wants to believe. His excellent sources stretch beyond Italy, and more importantly, his relations with both of the monster agents (Mendes & Raiola) probably gives him the edge over any other.

Remember that Monaco is basically a conclave of Italy and many Italians, especially those involved in football (agents, journalists, etc.) have high interest in the principality and spend a lot of time there, even before the hype of AS Monaco last season.

GDM having access to a reliable source within Monaco (the club) without the Juve connection is a highly plausible scenario.

It would have been a brilliant window if Atletico didnt feck up with their ban.

Looks like Morata, Lindelöf and Fabinho are the first three and then probably Perisic at some point. Griezmann on top of that would have been perfect

I think it's possible we get him in January. Not ideal but manageable. He'll be cup-tied so wouldn't be able to play in the CL though.

Yes, I have to say, although I hear of our youth players, I dont follow the youth games but in the fleeting appearance of Gomes an obvious ability was apparent. These arent the kind of players I was dissapointed on missing out though, they are players we have bought through from a very young age which is brilliant. We are also signing promising future talents like Puigmal you mention and Perreira, Mensah, Januzaj, Perreira, which is great. But this isnt what I was talking about as they are signings made to break into the side in 2-3 years, I meant signing players that are already breaking through and are 2/3 years away from being stars, so a couple of years further on in development.

I agree with you we have some very good young players breaking through in Mensah, Tuanzabe, Rashford, Mitchel. Gomez, Perreira. We really havent done well or had success though in signing young players on the cusp of success for quite a while now and you could even go back to Fergies last signing in Zaha, yet we have spent a lot of money on the likes of Zaha, Shaw, Depay and Martial and bar Shaw that so far hasnt proved successful, for me we didnt invest well. Of course these are all signings pre-Mourinho but there are quite a few young players about who are on the cusp and possibly available for decent fees as the case of Tielmans prove. I would much rather sign Under for example than Perisic for 3 or 4x the fee. I would like one or two of these kind of signings alongside the 3/4 fairly big ones we may make this summer.

I swear I dreamt last nigt that we signed all of those players. Yes Griezma too!

I've been a Griezmann sceptic but my dreams often come true. Despite the ban Athletico accepted €100 mill

Looks like you are suffering from griezmanphania :D. I hope your dream come true. Would be ecstatic.

I can't copy the tweet on my phone but eurosport saying that Dembele is unhappy about Tuchel leaving and is thinking of moving with us and Chelsea interested. Probably similar fee to Morata I think. Just hope he would make the transition better than Mhki.

It's because he plays for a small club.

No players get the kind of recognition they deserve when they are playing for minnows.
