Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Wow, didnt Atletico agree 40m Euros?
No, Lyon agreed to have exclusive talks with Atleti and €40m was only the rejected opening bid with no agreement reached.

Apparently the guy that had Bernardo Silva to City before anyone.

Foreign journalists confirm my sayings on Fabinho and the announcement amount of 50 million in a few days.

For God's sake I hope this isn't BS.

Indy kialia says its done aswell!

I'd agree with this. A few had Fellaini on there own lists, think that is more hope for those posters then what will end up happening. Jose clearly like him and has a use for him.
Thing is, Fellaini has one year left on contract so he probably will go but I'd be surprised if at least 4 of the 7 names I've mentioned aren't sold this summer. With Rooney, the wages will be a sticking point and with Smalling/Jones it might be that they're kept but I can't see us going into the season with 5-6 CBs not including Tuanzebe.

Seems like most of the Fabinho links are from pretty wishy washy journalists. I bet he stays or else goes to Juve for like 38m

Its basically lower level journos and and bedroom twitter spambots retweeting each other. I'd wait until a major journo says something more definitive.

With our rumored targets it's very likely our team for next season will have an average height over 6ft ( Pogba, Smalling - 6'4, Morata, Lindelöf, Fabinho and Perisic - >6'2). I personally think we should sign a set piece specialist, there's no one at the club with good delivery.

TalkSport doing the City v United window so far.. My head hurts.
Turned it off as soon as I heard it. They are up Pep's posterior again just like last season. Supposedly linked with everyone, even though we won't be. No strategy even though Ed know exactly who he has to go after. Laughable.

Basically saying Smalling most likely to leave and Shaw to be given another chance.

I totally forgot about the contract situation. Jose really likes him though and I think he'll stick around. With the Rooney situation, your right wages will be a problem but it's world cup year I think he's stubborn enough to convince himself he can make the world cup squad 1 more shot at a major tournament. Same for Smalling who I think will be one going. He has the most value, not as injury prone, is current England CB starter and won't want to be 4th or even 5th choice in a world cup year.

The funny part was Durham nearly killing the argument early on. He read out a tweet that said the window wasn't even open yet but stumbled at open and rephrased it to there being plenty of time of the window left..
Summer must suck for a daily football show when they have hours to fill

The January one must be even worse, when they try to ramp it up and nothing is going to happen.

Daily Mail are contradicting each other!

Simon Jones is the guy who puts all the transfer rumours from all over the world together into 1 article without quoting where he got the information from. So I'm fairly sure it's the same case here as well.

So he can stay and win absolutely nothing for another 4 years

Atletico recently won a league title which is more than most clubs can say, they also reached two CL finals and have plenty of young talent.

Every year we have this point raised and every year it's wrong.

The window opens the second the whistle is blown at the last competitive game of the season.

You cannot however register that player to play for you, until the registration window opens.

City have done their business early and bought all these players!

But the transfer window hasn t opened yet!

Crazy how other teams are buying these players despite the window not being open!

Quick get the "I lost a CL" medals out said no one, ever.

He won a league title 3 seasons ago in the 2013/14 seaaon almst as long ago as we did.
