Manchester United are indeed interested for Alvaro Morata, but what they are offering (€70m) is far from what Real Madrid wants [cope]

Looks like this one could develop into a full blown saga.
 
God I hate these pigs. When Ronaldo wanted to leave we sold for a reasonable price, De Gea ditto. But now Morata wants to go the other way to get game time and it's got to turn into this big drama.
 
If Morata is worth 80 to them, what do they value Benzema at? 100? They clearly want to fund Mbappe.

Its a different market these days. This year is even significantly more inflated than last. The Pogba deal was probably the start of a lot of expensive player transactions.
 
I don't think we should offer more. No one else is going to pay that much, and if we've actually agreed terms with him (as reports say) then surely he won't go anywhere else. Also I'll find it really annoying if we basically fund the eventual transfer of Mbappe to Madrid.

That's simply not true.

Nothing reasonable about 80 million in 2009.

Markets were still reasonable then.


And we demanded Real pay the amount in one instalment.

But what if they don't really want to sell? He is a useful player for them.

I think the initial comment was very much tongue in cheek. The Ronaldo transfer dragged on over a couple of seasons, ending in a world record fee. The De Gea transfer has rumbled on, been on, scuppered by a dodgy fax machine, then off again. All whilst we demand a world record fee for a goal keeper.
 
Even tho I value Morata I prefer us going for Aubameyang (who may be a bit overrated) than funding Mbappe's transfer for those Madrid cnuts.

Heck even Belotti is an option in that case, no matter how unproven he is.

Mbappe isn't coming here. Real have won the CL 3 times in the last 4 years and are his dream club.. we on the other hand have only qualified for the champions league twice in the last 4 years and don't look as if we are quite good enough to compete yet, all we can offer is a boat load of money in comparison. Madrid will get their man whatever so just enjoy Morata for the potential player he can be.

I agree. That's why we look so poor. We expected more from Martial and Mkhi down the wings and they both didn't turn up most of the season. Its probably why he benched Mkhi in the beginning. Hopefully one of them atleast show up next season and be a mainstay in the side. And if we sign Perisic, even if his goals+assist are not great if he can play like Valencia did for us on the wing, be a threat all game and lock that left side, it would open so much space for the others to exploit.
