Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

They can't. Surely. Honestly, they cannot do it again. They may as well pack it in otherwise.

Think they packed it in when they sold us RvP. They're a nothing club. As long as Kroenke gets top 4 and occasional FA Cup - then they're happy. He proved it by extending Wengers contract, IMO.

I personally think he's using them to get a huge new contract or huge contract from bayern who dont pay top dollar themselves.

Pep proving that his scouting and eye for talent are on par with his tactical genius.

Not sure if you're being serious as poaching a top player from a rival isn't exactly hard to scout. Pulling it off because Wenger and Arsenal are complete morons, that's another thing.

If Alexis was going to stay in Premier League, it was only going to be a few teams...Chelsea, City or United. They can afford his wages. Then there's Pep who managed Alexis previously at Barca, so it's a logical fit.

I agree. We are the richest club in the world for goodness sake.

If we spend, they'll mock us. If we don't spend, they'll do the same so what the heck? Let's get the best players available out there and go toe to toe with the best of Europe next season. This is the time to make the United brand stronger and more attractive with silverware. Madrid spends the cash and gets the titles. We may not need to be as crazy as they are but no need to be silly saving money we can use to get the best players around.
Good post my man.

So what ? Where will he play? Is he going to play a 433 with 4 defenders and 6 attacking players and no midfeilders.

Sane, Alexis, KDB with Silva behind. Alexis, Jesus, Silva with KDB behind...they would be spoiled for choices and notice how Aguero isn't even mentioned. you have to respect that, but I get your point, someone(s) going to have to settle for scraps or transfer out to get match time.

You forgot sterling too

I just don't see how that Alexis transfer happens. Arsene won't let him go that easy. There's nobody like Alexis on the market. And even if there was, he would cost upwards of £70mil. Wenger will just not be spending that much on one player.

Chileans are just desperate for him to join a title winning side and are just trying to manufacture links.

Sanchez, Aguero, Jesus, Sane, B.Silva, D.Silva, de Bruyne and Gundogan.

It feels like they are cheating.

I think Pep will try to replicate his 2-3-5 formation that he used in his last year at Bayern..

Pep, revolutionizing football since forever.

Bless you Pep and the fact you exist.

Best think about that is some fecker(s) will be sulking.

Maybe we can pick up De Bruyne for cheap if they buy Sanchez

Great attacking options, but until they can defend then there is absolutely no worries at all. They had sane, Aguero, Sterling, De brunye, Silva and Jesus this season and didn't come close to winning anything.

I guess they're going for the Paul-Scholes-philosophy - Score more goals than the opponent.

Has a single player transferring from Arsenal to City done well?

*not including Seaman.

They've all sort of just been "okay/what was sort of expected" - not out of this world. Nasri, Clichy, Sagna, Kolo Toure (in the beginning)

Adebayor's celebrating run toward the arsenal fans though
