Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

How do you know how quickly it was resolved? It could have been the end result of 2 months work for all we know. Rare is it that the first news you hear is the lad on the plane over, but that's the end result of a lot of ground work.

That doesn't negate my opinion, though. If City worked on the deal for 2 months, then they finished the deal early and waited for the end of the season to finalise it, so no competition also.

The way City finished the deal that quickly proves there was zero competition on B.Silva from any club.

I agree with this, similar to the way Kante was signed. Jose called Kante to ask him to come to OT, but he said in an interview that when Jose called he was already deep into talks with Conte starting at least a month prior.

City most likely started talks with Monaco players when they played them in the CL. They didnt have to wait for a break in the schedule of both teams so got a head start.

I'd love to see him go to Dortmund, he could be their main #9 with Auba moving on and it would be an ideal club for him to develop at.

Don't think he's ready to directly replace the leading goalscorer in the Bundesliga yet, though I agree a potential move to Dortmund would be great for him.

I agree that it would be a bit risky but Dortmund are a team that can afford to take a risk with a young player.

How will City play all their attacking players?

Unbelievable! Don't think, that Aguero, Sane or Sterling are very much happy to be constantly on the bench
Moreover Pep is not a big fan of rotation afaik
If it's true they are buying 2 fullbacks to play he's system i.e. Fullbacks/Central midfielders then I think he's gonna get found out.

Any how feck city I've had enough of those cnuts that's all I keep reading.

Makes no sense. You can reverse the logic and say a deal signed in September means there was loads of competition, the two things don't correlate.

Regardless, if there was no competition that was a great thing for City because he looks a top player by all accounts.

Really hope we get some juicy, worth-while tweets this week. There's been a fair bi of dire, non-United related ones this weekend.

It seems to me that many of the foreign journalists are getting us and city confused. I think they see the name Manchester and automatically think us, but sometimes it turns out to be city instead.

I don't think we ever wanted silva, the way city wrapped him up so quickly was like it was done ever since he smashed them at the etihad.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 130m euro offer was from us, city don't need him with Jesus and aguero. I guess we will see what happens.

Makes no sense in what ? Do you believe Monaco will sell one of its best players for only 43m pound if the deal wasn't done early ? If there was a competition no chance they would have sold him for such a price. They could have easily milked him to death, to 50-60m or something like that.

The fact that the player deal was done that early and for such a price proves the deal was accepted early on and they just finalize it once the season ends.

They're refusing 130 million for 18 year old Mbappe? Fecking 'ell. Maybe Mourinho was onto something when he said Pogba would seem a bargain in the coming years as transfers get even crazier.

Looks like a load of speculation bollocks that based on rumours of Monaco players heading to Manchester. Even if Canal are reliable, I don't think that's intended to be an article confirming any offers. Just highlighting the fact a lot of Monaco players could end up in Manchester.

I probably could've said that in a lot less words but I'm fecking knackered

Is that a good thing ?
Well Daily Mail/Telegraph aren't on the ban list. The Mirror went with remain in the referendum, I'd vouch for them on that alone even if the likes of Simon Mullock weren't more reliable on transfers than most in the elite three.

That is 90 million euros + bonuses already spent by city.
Also the reason why Duncan baldy castles is so quiet is because city are dealing with his masters the Gestifute agency. They are making loads of money from these transfers and Duncan has to shut up right now. I am sure he will be back to boil some piss soon.
