That was being rumoured most the this past season.
He basically collected all names mentioned all these previous days in one long and beautiful article. Nothing new.
So the story is that United have a number of targets for each position and then he lists all the usual suspects we have been linked with since January.

I actually still find it strange Jose is interested in Matic even though he seemed to fell with him during the crisis at Chelsea.

Unless Zlatan stays, and comes back quickly, I think we'd probably need another striker still. I'm assuming Rooney and Zlatan are leaving this summer (based on press rumours etc.) in which case we'd only have 3 strikers; Griezmann, Martial and Rashford - none of whom are really a "lead the line no.9".
We will need another striker with Griezmann whatever Zlatan condition is because we can't be sure he's going to be as good again when he returns. The safest option possible is to get a new striker if we want a serious title challenge.
Next season there's no room for experiments or testing. It's the time for results and challenging for the league. We can't trust any doubtful situation.
Its quite funny how monaco has one great season and suddenly everyone is desperate to sign their players. Where were they a year ago? I don't remember anyone going on about bakayoko, mbappe or silva last summer. Or Fabinho. Suddenly they're the 4 best players in world football and if we're not in for one of them its meltdown time.

Thats why i want zlatan gone. Hes great but we can't rely on him coming back. And if we bring in a replacement to cover him while he is out, why keep him? Its a shame but probably the right call to get rid. I'd swap morata and 20 mil for de gea if hr wants to leave.
I said before in his injury thread that we shouldn't extend his contract but give him the chance to have rehabilitation at Carrington till Jan to see his condition. If his fitness isn't bad, we can give him a short contract till the end of the season as a sub before leaving. Who knows, maybe we will be leading the table and he wins the league with us before leaving.
But it's indispensable for me to buy a new clinical striker this summer to challenge for the title. I believe Jose will understand this.
