Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Also for people that are worried about Morata not being clinical because he doesn't have great numbers.

Compare the league form with for example Zlatan: Morata scored 15 goals in 1300 minutes, Zlatan scored 17 goals in 2400 minutes
Morata played in an easier league and played in a better team to provide those goal scoring oppertunities -just saying like.

Everyone seems to become an expert accountant on Utd finances this time of year.

Let the club spend I say - we make enough money.

Or be like Liverpool/Everton and look for deals yet never achieve feck all.

 Delaney. What a joke he's become. Let's spend about £120m on Morata and Belotti, eh?

Manchester United are hopeful of doing a double striker deal for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Torino’s Andrea Belotti in the next two weeks, after agreeing terms with the Spanish striker and submitting a bid of around £70m for Belotti.

A deal for Victor Lindelof is all but done while the Portuguese also plans to bring in Ivan Perisic of Internazionale and defensive midfielder Fabinho of Monaco

FM level muppetry. Maybe not the names - but the outlay suggested there is nonsensical.

Bayern & Lyon began negotiations for the transfer of Tolisso that could very quickly be concluded

I've been tugging one out over Tolisso for the better part of a year now, and with Bayern interested you just know he'll be quality.

How do we fit them both in the same team, although I know Morata has played next to a lot of goal scorers before.

We don't. We keep them in the squad. We once had Rooney Tevez Ronaldo and Berbatov in the same squad. Also Yorke Cole Teddy and Ole. Rashford Belotti and Morata don't seem to be a big stretch.

Where does that leave Renato Sanches?

One of the few duds they've ever bought.

Tolisso is way more proven though and I have no doubts he'll be quality for them.

Watch them sign the fecker for about £30m max as well.

Guardian are usually spot on I think,'this is happening. Good signing, however him + Perisic is not enough. We need another.

3-5-2 with morata and belotti up top, perisic left wb, valencia rwb, Pogba lcm, Fabinho cdm and Herrera rcm.

Really can't see us getting Morata AND Belotti. Just doesn't make sense tactically, nor financially. One has to play second fiddle, and neither of them will cost less than €60m.

The jury is still out on Morata. Hes by no means at the level of Pogba Ibra or Mkhitaryan. This is not to cast doubt on his abilities, but if we have to seriously compete on all fronts next season we need to sign proven players like Griezmann and Sanchez.

If one of them was older I could possibly see it, but Rashford still needs playing time so I don't really see the point of three players who have yet to enter their prime years fighting for one spot. All would need adequate playing time to improve. Would rather sign Morata or Belotti and get some goals from a signing in another position (James) or sign a more veteran forward.

Needs more left back. Don't know if i can handle another season of Darmian standing still.

On the 1/1000 chance that list is accurate I think Mourinho would play Perisic left back. Like when he wanted to buy Valencia from us and play him at RB for Madrid.

Mkhi's a bit of a strange one to put on that list, he's had 1 excellent season in his career and his first season here was dire.

With the World Cup next summer both will need first team football week in weekout so I'd also be surprised if we land both.

What type of formation do these guys think we're going to play next season, by targeting 2 £60-70m strikers?

I'd rather get one (Morata) and go with what we have and go for Griezmann next summer.

1-4-1-4. Bailly (1)one man defence. (Who needs a partner when you've a wall?). Pogba, Herrera, Carrick and Fabinho (4) in midfield. Mkhi running around in number 10 (1). Belotti, Rashford, Martial and Morata (4) tucking away chances.

Mkhi regularly started games for both Shakhtar and Dortmund at league and CL level and won the bundesliga player of the year before he joined us. Besides that I think youre missing the point. Morata hasnt played regularly at the highest level nearly enough to be the leading striker for the biggest club in england. If hes the only goalscorer we buy this summer I think we would be placing too much responsibility on his shoulders and that would be a mistake imo.

3-5-2 would be the only way I could see it working, with Rashford and Martial as their back-ups and Mkhitaryan/Mata competing for the role in behind them.
